Don't go to Chelsea, Nando. Of all the clubs you could join, why them ?
Their best players are all older than Gerrard and their squad faces as bug an overhaul as ours does.
[/quote]

Maybe Abramovich is ready to rebuild and Mourinho is on his way back. He always said he felt he had unfinished business.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I'm 90% sure he's going. He's behaving like a complete cunt by all accounts. Not only that but the timing of this stinks as he's dropping us right in the shit just when we were begin to build again leaving us with little time to recruit. Fuck off Fernando you Judas lying hypocritical cunt. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. Hope your hamstrings snap in half. Wanker. You and Chelsea deserve each other. Neither of you have a soul.

If true of course.

If you declare yourself a Red then you're a Red. Fuck all this "oooooh but he wants to win trophies, we've let him down" fucking shit You're a Red for life until the club says you're no longer required. Proper Reds would stay regardless. You're getting paid obscene amounts of money so what more do you want? Be looked upon in years come by for your loyalty, 'through the wind and the rain' and all that or for your nice shiny trophies?

If I played for Liverpool Football Club I wouldn't even entertain the thought of playing for anyone else. If my son played for Liverpool Football Club and a more lucrative offer came in to play for another English club I'd advise him to tell the other club to go and fuck themselves. How much money does he need to make life happy. I'd put loyalty over silverware any time of the day.

If he goes, especially now, all he's done is show that he's not truly entrenched in the ways of the club, just another glory hunting twat.

Close the door on the way out yer cunt.

*Applauds*

I can't fathom that I'd ever want to play for another club, other than Liverpool. Granted Torres isn't a scouser, but don't give us bullshit and go back on your word TWO WEEKS later, and THE SECOND the club show some ambition for the first time in years.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

To look on the bright side of this, we now have Comolli and Kenny looking after signings, and I'd trust them to spend the50m a lot more than our previous two managers, if not every manager since...well Kenny.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

If it's corruption then it has to be Broughton.

Anyone got info....................................

Hahahha. You and your suspicions. If there's one thing Broughton should have learnt is don't get on the wrong side of LFC fans.

I think he's been badly advised, and will wake up in the morning and realise he's made a mistake. Just like Gerrard did.

Look....I want him to stay... undoubtedly!
But in these days of player power your being terribly gullible if you think that some of our players wouldn't walk away from the red shirt given a better chance at silverware or more money (jesus, stevie nearly did it)! I wish it wasn't true, but it is so suck it up!
And the fact he left his home town club for trophies with us is a major factor in saying that he could easily walk out on us even if he does indeed love the club!!
But this club will be here long after anyone who thinks they are bigger than it, thats why im not that pissed off and why i can sort of see fernandos reasons. Obviously I hope he wins fuck all and the timing of it is fucking nuts!!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I think this move could generate levels of acrimony unparalleled in English football.

If he goes, he's joining the worst Chelsea team for five or six years.

Money is clearly an incentive for many of the parties concerned, including him.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

How long is left on his contract by the way? Should we be worrying about it affecting his price?

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Let him rot in the ressies for the rest of the season.... seriously we dont have to sell him just cos he fucking says so. Make a stand and not let these primadonnas get away with it anymore.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Fuck him. Take the 40/50 mil and rebuild. He only plays when he can be arsed anyway. Hope he's as successful as Shevchenko for them and as injury prone as Darren Anderton.

Or make him play, and put him in the shop window for a new club, and get the best out of him.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I just spoke with Dreambeliever and he says Torres will do the right thing and stay, he has zero doubt.

I'm not being gullible. I know the greed of modern footballers. I'm calling a player who declares himself a Red by wearing an armband that has YNWA on it...you do know the words of the song? You know what it's about? I'm calling him a cunt if he leaves our club because times are a bit hard (silverware wise).
