Hull looking lively at the Emirates and Markovic looking very dangerous, just mugged off Iwobi at the half way line before beating his man with pace and whipping in a ball that should've lead to a Hull goal.

Niasse looked like turd at Everton and looks half decent at Hull....

Good save from Cech.

Hull robbed... goal incorrectly allowed to stand.

Thank god someone with some sense. They are saying on TV his hand was in a "natural position" and it was "ball to hand".

How in the world does that matter when if it wasn't for his hand the ball would not have gone in.

The ball hit a part of his body that is illegal for the ball to make contact with and as a direct result went in the goal. No goal.

Haven't seen it, but ball to hand is valid if the ball is fired at someone's arm from close to range and there's no chance for the potential offender to move his arm out of the way. Natural position is, of course, relevant.

The ball bounced up off the keeper, on to his hand, and directly into the goal, about a yard out from goal

Of course Markovic looks like a handy player we could make use of.

Markovic has been very good, but still looks like he is barely trying.

Not sure if that is good or bad. Could he be better with more apparent effort? Not sure.

Still think he has good potential. At least increasing his value at the moment.

Markovic looked great.

Pacey, beat his man a few times, strength on the ball and off it and able to pick out a good pass. I have no doubt he would return to being shite here, so hopefully he can carry this on till may and get us a decent fee.

Gibbs should have been sent off, the first Gooner goal disallowed too so definitely got the rub of the green today / Super Ref further enhanced his reputation as a poor referee with shit tats

Markovic played as well as I can remember.

Referee, not so much.

  • Awards Arsenal a handball goal.
  • Awards Arsenal a Penalty for a lesser offence.
  • Fails to award a red card to Gibbs for bringing down Markovic despite being in a clear 1 on 1 position.

Shocking refereeing for the first goal. It was quite an obvious handball. We're about the only top team now that arent getting any of these dodgy calls.
Hopefully we'll get some tonight.

I know you can say its a one-team league, which it pretty much is but atleast rodgers has got Celtic playing some decent football rather than just bullying teams into submission.

Dembele will go for some mental fee in the summer, after paying whatever paltry development fee they owed Fulham they'll be banking the best part of £50m, Im sure.

I'm surprised Sanchez didn't pick the ball up off the spot and score a touchdown. Just to see if that bitch cunt twatenberg would allow it to stand.

[article]Much has been made of the statistic that shows Gabbiadini is second only to Higuain in terms of goals per minute, with 25 goals in 3119 minutes of football equalling a goal every 124 minutes. On paper it looks a reasonable return, however Gabbiadini had been at Napoli almost two years to the day when he was sold, which when taking his 3119 minutes of playing time equates to an average of just 34.65 ninety minute matches.[/article]

Markovic played well the other day against United too. Hitting the post with a sublime shot. However I've a nagging feeling that he only looks good playing on the break but maybe not so good against packed defences - guess which one we play week in week out.

I think today is the day Bayern won the title...2 goals in 90th min to snatch the 3 points mean while leipzeig lost at home to relegation fodder.

Only french league is of any interest now.

The rule that accidental handballs don't count sounds fine in theory, until it is tested by an incident like Sanchez' first goal, when the ball bounces up and deflects off his outstretched hand into the net,

I once heard a referee in an amateur match say that it's handball if the player gains an advantage from it, which Sanchez obviously did.

Clattenburg's apology to the Hull players suggests that it was indeed an illegal handball.

This really angers me like crazy !!! - we had a winger that could have played and yet we chose to loan him away. From the few clips I saw and based on the opinions of the pundits on MOTD - it seems he played well. For those people on this site who talk about how he ain't good enough - can you honestly say we gave him the same level of chances as Lallana or even Henderson to get into the squad ? - like fuck we did. He seems to be that sort of player that can take on others which is what we needed to break down the busses over January. Fucks sake !!!

He was garbage when he played for us. Fish out of water. BR placed him in a wing back role for a reason. He basically needs lots of space to move into for his headless running repertoire. He is a fast runner with decent ball skills and nothing else as far as I can tell.

Imagine facing teams parking the bus and playing marko-needs-lotsa-space. We are wasting his "talent".

Hull is perfect for him. An organized and defensive team, with Marko as the unpredictable, random runner that will ruffle some feathers against the better sides.

He wasnt that impressive for Hull in my opinion. Much of the same really. Worked hard, some neat passing but never tried to go past the defender. Maybe he's found his level.
