Great that Tamir Cohen got the winner and revealed a T-Shirt of his father . He was holding the tears back during his interview .

But seriously , do Arsenal as a club really care about winning ? I don't think they do at the top as long as the money keeps coming in and I have no idea on the fans , lots of them seem to buy into Wenger's "2nd is also success " shite . Surely it's time he was either encouraged to change his ways , give up on proving that this team can win or be fucked off . I mean what's the point , it's the same every year . Like i said if they happy with it then fair enough , the losers .

RedZeppelin: you're echoing much as reported about Fabregas' interview. He seems pretty pissed with Wenger and their philosophy.

Yeah i heard mention of some interview but didn't know the story , just read about it now ...so Fabregas gave an interview with a spanish site, Wenger went mad and accused them of twisting Fabregas's words and then when they posted the audio proof , he was still refusing to acknowledge it ? the mentalist !! .

I just don't get it , in his first few seasons they played great stuff with a strong , physical backbone. So why is he so stubborn to prove these bottlers can win , why can't he go back to his old ways and buy some strength, power and proven leaders .Ah well fuck him , he's a tosser of the highest order .

Was listening to Andy Townsend talking about their defensive frailties and was reminded that Wenger inherited the defensive backbone which was Adams,Bould, Winterburn and Dixon.

Confirms Wenger's blindspot for defensive players much like Rafa's for offensive players.

Hey, you left out Martin Keown on that list!

Over time, Wenger did rejig his backlines with the likes of Campbell, Silvinho, Lauren, Kolo Toure, Gallas, Cole, etc. They may not be as rock hard as the guys he inherited, but some of them were good enough for him to win something with. He's obviously not been too successful these 2 seasons with Vermaelen being the exception (if only he wasn't out for so long).

He needs a proper leader who can calm the ship when it's taking in water. Fabregas is a bit like Torres at Atletico Madrid. A bit too young, and not exactly the sort of hard leader you need in the team to go around calming nerves when times are hard.

They've insisted for a long time that there's been money available for transfers. It's difficult to escape the conclusion that the reason why it hasn't been spent has been Wenger's own reluctance to spend it.

Just this past week, Wenger has said that he wouldn't be spending big in the summer.
