I have to say I think the ref had to take action. I just saw the clip. Berbatov (I think) had the ball at his feet when Richardson kicked the ball back towards the offense. Really no need to do that, if he was trying to stop Berb taking a quick free kick from the wrong position all he need to do was stand in front of the ball.
 
It was bloody stupid to do it in front of the ref, with 5 mins to go having been booked already, no matter why or where he was kicking it.
 
And if he was trying to get it back to the freekick positon, he's a really, really shit passer. The ball was over hit and 3 to 4 yards of where the freekick was given and where a United player was waiting.

If he were more talented I'd be less inclined to believe him. As it stands, I've no idea.

Coming back from an early goal, from 1-0 and 2-1 down(2nd Blackburn goal was a counter attack after a fantastic save from Robinson), 5 goals in 1st half alone and opening goal by Thomas Vermaelen who's settled in well.

The 1 thing about Arsenal that's doesn't appeal to my eye today is Arshavin's look (or should I say his haircut). Lol.
 
After watching Vermaelen (seemingly) bang in goals week after week from 25yards, I do think Agger with his ability on the ball should be scoring more goals and looking to get at least 5-8 a season. It'd add another string to our bow.

Yeah its just bad luck really. Not that ironic. Ed Byrne did a sketch on it in a stand up show. I hate Ed Byrne but he had a point.
