Just curious, does anyone else only watch other football games IF we get a result? When we lose before other games, those games get erased.
I was just thinking the exact same thing.

The Manchester derby is the only non-Liverpool game I've watched this season, and that was because they had free hot pot on in the pub.

I started off watching everything, but I've quickly lost interest again.

i watch most, no matter what the result. At the very least i watch us and chelsea (for obvious reasons)

I don't usually watch entire games of other teams but I'll watch parts or extended highlights. Often I'll do so especially if we've lost. Because I want to see what good football looks like at least once per weekend.

Does anyone seriously take pleasure in seeing Rafa lose?
Yea, there's a lot of bitter idiots on here who thinks it validates their idea that Rafa's some lucky chancer, even though this in turn diminishes our success under him.

Inter are a mess ... Is Diego Milito injured?

I hate Inter - so I'm always happy when they lose.
Hatred of a club is always valid, so that's perfectly fine.

I dont get how any Liverpool fan can like Inter fucking Milan, tbh.
Yep.

True, or anyone who lived in Milan and just hated Inter! 😉

It's mainly me to be fair. And I'm right again. He's turning a treble winning side to shite.

It's a bit strange to claim the mantle of "bitter idiot" all for yourself.
It is only your opinion. I'm not bothered. I don't think I'm bitter either.

I've spent three years criticising his decisions as being idiotic and I don't rate him because of those decisions. It's not like it's some irrational hatred. He makes stupid decisions and I don't like people that make stupid decisions.

I think if you were to research recent successful teams you'd find that it was the increase in spending that explains their success rather than any supposed managerial brilliance. Harry Redknapp being a prime example in England with every club he has been with.

Teams that want to spend also buy quality managers. Mourinho's appointment for instance, will go hand in hand with spending. So will Redknapp's, given his success in fighting relegation. Teams who want to spend, want to spend with some sense of confidence, and if you have a job opening with no money to spend, you get Roy Hodgson. So while I agree that spending is a significant factor, there's a bit of synergy there with the contributing factor of quality management.

Ferguson for instance, has continued to enjoy success, despite more austerity of late. Wenger has also enjoyed relative success with high wage spending and fairly limited transfer spending.

I'm not seeking one single reason for the success of a team. That'd be reductionist in the extreme. Mancini is a pretty easy counterexample.

I for one, have watched a lot of Premiership football this season, because I enjoy watching football. No matter what game whether it be Man Utd or Chelsea or whoever, I always tune in. I enjoy watching it, regardless of results.

And no. I do not enjoy watching Rafa lose. I like the man, I respect him too, after his generous donations to HJC and the success he brought to the club. He didn't intentionally make bad signings or let the club fade as many people would like to think he did. He genuinely loved LFC and tried his best, and that's all you can want. He will always go down as a legend in my book and i really hate seeing bad things said about him these days. I will admit I had some bad words to say about him, but looking back I regret them, as he had the best intentions of the club at heart.

Uh oh some competition here.

- Best player in the league right now? I'll go for Nasri.
- The kid Holden at Bolton is going to be pure quality.
- 200m on strikers and Citeh have scored less goals at home than 18 other teams.
- Berbatov is the biggest fucking moaner in football.
- Villa's squad is paper fucking thin.
- Roger Johnson or Ryan Shawcross?

- I think I say this every week, but... Scott Carson is one of the worst goalkeepers I've ever seen.
- West Han have been playing better than their position suggests. Wouldn't surprise me if they got at least a point against us.

But when you increases in spending stop you start to see the managerial ability shine through.

And to think we had a rumoured offer of 9 M pounds on the table for him. And didn't take it.

I think Villa backed out of it once they realised he was shit.
