Re: Match thread: Liverpool vs Blue Scum

But yeah, i see no reason why we can't win.

Optimistic as i am, i put a bet on Kuyt to score 1st, us to win 3-0

Re: Match thread: Liverpool vs Blue Scum

Pretty sure Sopcast channel 106723 will be showing the match, for those of us that need a stream.

Re: Match thread: Liverpool vs Blue Scum

There will be a minutes' silence for Luca Jones.

Dalglish took the decision for Bellamy not to play.

Should be Bellamy's choice to make IMO, but maybe Kenny noticed that he was too emotional.
But hey Shay pulled through and kept a clean sheet.

dont think kenny should have taken the decision for bellers, as someone said before he might have preferred to play through it to take his mind off it. kenny obviously had good intentions, and its a bit of a delicate issue obviously but it should have been left to craig imo

Back to the same old crap team with Downing and Henderson out wide. Great.

I really hope I'm reading it wrong and Henderson is in the middle but even then. Bah!

Bellamy probably did make the decision, and Kenny is taking the blame for it. Either way he's not playing, and it's understandable why he isn't.

team doesnt inspire me at all, think we'll lose, id rather we put carroll on, but i think thats more of a blind hope that he'd be as good as he was in the last meeting, when my heart knows he wouldnt be

We don't know the ins and outs.
I would imagine that had Bellers insisted that he wanted to play, Kenny would have been happy to play him. As it stands, he'll have made his decision, Bellers agreed, and that's that.

Hehe.

Bellamy was very upset, according to Dalglish, and was probably confused as to what to do, so Kenny took it out of his hands.

It is what it is.

ye i can understand that one, hard decisions all round in difficult times, hope bellers is ok

We're going to get raped down the right. We'll have a stop start attack with little continuity. We'll get battered. Playing Downing without Carroll is so stupid. But this game is not made for either.

His contract is up at the end of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if we had already decided not to renew it and thought it better to try to integrate the players who will be here for the long term now. (And suffer while they don't quite get the job at the beginning.)

There should be a law that ensures that people who shout during a minutes silence should have all their teeth knocked out.

It's pretty clear already that Lucas has been told to stick to Silva as much as possible
