The 'Will Suarez Leave?' thread

He's irreplaceable for me at any price.

He's just that good, that suited to the English league and that much of a match winner.

We need to add to him not rebuild after him.

Indeed, hes everything thats good about our team, there certainly wouldn't be any replacing him if he left.

I dont think he'll go, he seems very happy and has always said that CL is the most important thing, these prices or 60/70 mill are way under his value also, if he were to go it would be a world record fee, the owners would make sure of that.

The rumour about the 70 million clause was if we didn't qualify for the CL wasn't it? and it was 100 mill plus if we did qualify (according to the rumours at the time of his signing of the new contract)

If he's going get the money and spend it how we wish. I don't want any Real Madrid castoffs or bit part players.

Yup they can stick their players up their arse, cash money if anything is going to happen, a lot of it.

Never forget Nunez, they'll push their most shite players our way.

It's the usual Madrid tactic. Bribe toady hacks and float stories. It did that with Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo (the real one), Beckham, Bale etc. I think Madrid will find Henry a harder nut to crack because Suarez is worth much more than £100 million to Liverpool.

Suarez does seem reluctant to make any mention of next season with us in his comments recently, found it strange in his end of season message he didn't make any mention of looking forward to next season. Probably means nothing, but meh.

All the signs so far are more promising. He looks happy, has respect of his teammates, fans and peers. We are in the champions league, are going to attract better players and play football he loves.
I wreckon we'll have him one more year at least

If we get 100m for him we will not be able to replace him. He is someone who gives it 100% every game which makes the rest of the team tick. He has that unpredictable exciting edge to him as well as being creative etc... he is different from bale, ronaldo and messi in that he is not dome robotic freak.

If he leaves i really fear for next season despite any expensive replacements. As kenny said - How do you replace luis suarez ?

Can i add that i am kind of pissed that real madrid keep doing this with our club. I mean the list of our best players going to them seems to be ever increasing. I would love us to give them a tonking home and away next season.

Isn't Benzema in his last year of his contract - if so Real can fuck right off with their £40m valuation.

Benzema - replacing suarez ? In the words of Henry - what are they smoking down there in madrid ?

LUIS SUAREZ has claimed he is committed to Liverpool and denied his contract includes a clause that gives Real Madrid and Barcelona priority to bid for him.

The Liverpool manager will weed out the weak by sanctioning a significant number of departures in order to restore a balance between quality and quantity among his playing staffs. Daniel Agger and Lucas Leiva could be among the more high-profile players who leave having both fallen out of favour at times during last season.
Many of those signed last summer are also vulnerable with Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas set to return to Spain, Kolo Toure seeking reassurance over how often he will play and options on loan deals for Aly Cissokho and Victor Moses not taken up.
Goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who spent the season at Napoli, can move and Martin Kelly, who has rarely featured, is another whose situation will be looked.
Meanwhile, Luis Suarez has said he is committed to Liverpool.
"Everyone knows there will be speculation this summer as there always is, but I have a contract with Liverpool," he said.
"I just turn the page. I know what I want and it is more speculation than reality."

Well then tell us what you want, what you really really want!
I saw that interview on tv this morming. If he wanted to stay he had a chance to be unequivocal there - sounds like he's off to me.

Are we really gonna overanalyze every interview while he's away.
We dont have to sell him and we wont. If someone wants him they'll probably have to pay a new world record fee.
He's stated how happy he and his family are here.
CL footy and the fact that the media writes about his skills and all the awards he's won makes me certain he'll be here.

If Real bid 100 mill, well then we better get the new signings right. But thats a unlikely scenario imho

Yes because he is that important to us and very few people know what is going on behind the scenes. If he wants to go and Real want him I just hope we get it over and done with rather than the whole thing rumbling on until the end of August like Bale did. Tell Real the price and give them a deadline of pre world cup and let them put up or shut up.

Haha, gotta love tweets like this regarding the Suarez stories:

Billy Liddell@Liddellpool1h
Suarez is understood to have enrolled his daughter Delfina at a Merseyside school for the start of the new academic year in Sept *T Barrett

I think he'll stay but the above does nothing - Being devil's advocate, he remembers last year where we refused to sell ... why take a chance with his daughter's education if we refuse to sell again?

Yeah, means nothing mate. Just a bit of fun.

I'm confident he'll stay
