Luis Suarez is the happiest he has been in his career at Liverpool and has urged the club to target the Champions League next season.

Suarez has enjoyed his most successful season at Anfield, scoring 31 goals and receiving the PFA and Football Writers' Player of the Year awards.

Liverpool narrowly missed out on the Premier League title, with Manchester City claiming the trophy on the final day, but a second-placed finish ensured their return to the Champions League.

Suarez is glad to be back in Europe's top competition and believes it might be the club's best chance of success due to the highly competitive nature of England's top flight.

"The most important way we focus for the Champions League because the last four or five years Liverpool, the players, is a good moment for the comeback to a step on the Europa League to Europe's top," Suarez told Sky Sports News.

"We know how difficult the Premier League is, because you never know what they are doing and I think maybe this year (Manchester) City have more players by then and Chelsea as well, (Manchester) United.

"Is difficult but in football it's a dream, because the stadium is unbelievable, the fans are the 12th player because they help so much.

"In my career they know what is important and myself and my family as well because they help so much."

Luis Suarez is the happiest he's been in his career at Liverpool, and can't wait to play in the Champions League next season.

The Uruguayan was forced to refute fresh speculation this week about possible interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

There have been constant claims about the future of Suarez, who was heavily linked with a move away after being handed a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

But Suarez insists he is loving life in Liverpool and was glad to extend his stay with a new four-and-a-half-year deal in December.

"I signed the contract because I love it here and I'm so happy here. If you're not happy here you don't sign any contract," he said.

"Liverpool's team for me is one of the best in the world because nobody here in the dressing room thinks I am better than another and the people here inside Melwood work very well.

Malky Mackay says Luis Suarez is crucial to Liverpool if they are to make the next step and become Premier League champions

"I love it here and this mentality I like because maybe in some other dressing rooms I am bigger than you and another bigger, it's difficult for the team-mates to play together on the pitch in something like that."

Suarez has received support from captain Steven Gerrard during some difficult times on Merseyside and has hailed the midfielder as the best he has played alongside.

"Stevie everybody knows is important in my career and last summer as well," he said.

"He's the best player in the Liverpool history for me and I can say he's the best player I play with as well. He's the captain because he's helped the team, he helps the players, the staff, helps everything."

Deffo leaving.

Uruguay and Liverpool Striker Luis Suarez Signs as 888poker Ambassador

888poker has added another ambassador to its already impressive roster by signing Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez.
Suarez won the 2014 Professional Footballer’s Association Player of the Year for his fantastic performances on the field for Liverpool during the 2013-14 season, a season that saw him find the back of the net 31 times including scoring two hat tricks and a four-goal haul in the 5-1 victory at home to Norwich City.
The Senior Vice President of 888, Itai Pazner, had this to say about the signing of the talented, but often controversial, Uruguayan: “Luis Suarez is an incredible sporting talent; passionate, competitive, technically gifted, and emotionally invested in the game. It’s those qualities that make him an exciting player to watch, in poker as well as football. It’s fantastic to have him on board.”
According to a press release, Suarez will immediately become an integral member of Team 888poker and will be found playing regularly online at 888poker and will participate in live events and “money-can’t-buy experiences.”
Suarez joins fellow non-poker pros Shane Warne and UFC legend Georges St-Pierre at Team 888poker who are backed up by 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event finalist JC Tran and recent female additions Xuan Liu and former PKR sponsored pro Sofia Lövgren.
While there is no doubting Suarez’s football ability or the fact he is an instantly recognisable figure, and some may say a global icon, his signing does come as a surprise.
Wherever Suarez plays, controversy follows. He has a reputation in the Barclay’s Premier League and someone who dives to gain an unlawful advantage, served an eight—game suspension during the 2011-12 season after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra and then in April 2013 was handed a record ten-match ban after being found guilty of biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic – the second biting incident of his career.
With online poker companies wanting to maintain a squeaky clean image, especially when listed on the London Stock Exchange, Suarez’s signing is sure to raise a few eyebrows among the poker community and outside of it too.

Put Talksport on for the first time in ages a few hours ago and there was some dick on there going on about Suarez and how his price tag is 70 million and the owners will accept at that price and also that Suarez would be mad not to join Real Madrid, i really wish the other bloke he was talking with had asked him to explain himself on that because he was stating what he said as facts when it was anything but factual, it was pure muck.

Hate that 'he would be mad not to join Real/Barca' line you hear trotted out so often, its load of bollocks, Suarez and any other top player wouldn't be mad not to join them, if you are happy and contented where you are then good for you, Real and Barca are certainly not the be all and end all.

Luis Suarez New Ambassador for 888poker Press Conference

Luis Suárez has insisted that he is happy at Liverpool and has no thoughts of leaving Anfield next season.

Luis Suárez claims to be loving life at Liverpool and has no thoughts of leaving Anfield.

The Uruguay striker has enjoyed a superb season, scoring 31 goals and winning the Professional Footballers' Association and Football Writers' player of the year awards.

That came after a hugely controversial summer last year, when Suárez – serving a ban after biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic – tried to force a move away.

Now transfer speculation has started again but Suárez, who earlier this week denied a clause allowing him to move to one of Europe's biggest clubs had been inserted into a contract signed in December, has been quick to distance himself from the rumours.

The 27-year-old, who is reportedly of interest to Real Madrid, told Sky Sports News: "I signed the contract because I love it here and I'm so happy here. If you're not happy here you don't sign any contract.

"Liverpool's team for me is one of the best in the world because nobody here in the dressing room thinks I am better than another and the people here inside Melwood work very well.

Yet the original one posted was edited in a way to leave it open to interpretation. Only later did the full and much more transparent transcript get revealed. The press are cunts, but we knew that anyway.
