It's not his fault he was second choice striker. In reality he should have been about 4th or 5th choice, in which case he's about the right level. Futhermore even if we were to sell him, the money we would get would not buy a better player to replace him.

Benitez probably did have to go, but only if we had a top alternative lined up. We didn't.

So given that we will lose at LEAST one of Masher/ Torres/ Gerrard, do you really think that Lucas, Insua et al will do any better under Woy?

Because it doesn't seem as if there will be much money for him to fill the myriad gaps in the team.

What makes you think they would have done better under anyone else? Your frustration is (rightly) more to do with the club, but at least one of Torres/Gerrard/Mascher would have gone anyway, and the same amount of money would have been there, so we still would have been left with Insua and co. Or are you suggesting that the players that, you, the fucking ORACLE, have us told are shit since you saw them get out their cars, would miraculously have come good under another manager?

[/quote]from the interview earlier it seems there's no money but if players are sold we can reinvest it. if mascherano leaves that's 30m to buy a left back and a centre mid and we are already better off.
We also will have a far less complex manager who will pick the team and let them play.

Bren, how do you know he won't? If his hands are tied financially then maybe he'll keep the dross, because he has too, but it would have been the same situation with any manager.

He's still got to identify saleable players that will bring in enough to funds to go towards building a better team/squad, just like any other manager would have had to. So where does the assumption that he's likely to keep shite that others wouldn't, come from?

He might get more from some players anyway, shit happens, but if someone's not good enough, there's no grounds to assume he'll keep them anyway.

Look, whether people like it or not, Roy is our new manager. He's promised to the best job he can for us and hopefully will improve us as a side. I appreciate the jury's still out but I find unfathomable is the bullshit lack of support. He's here now. Clean slate, fresh start. Whatever you think he may or may not deserve, it's our support - at least to start with. Any other approach is fucking sad. We support our club at Liverpool but criticise when called for. He's done fuck all whilst at Liverpool to deserve any -it's baseless and shameful.
