Bernie is the choice of the young, liberal, danger-haired, trans-rights "folx", who resemble the lunatic fringe of our very own (now happily extinct) Corbynistas. But the "establishment" and most normal-voting Democrats don't think Sanders can win against Trump, because the last thing Americans will ever do is vote for a fucking socialist, plus he's too fucking batshit even for the Democrats.
So they're essentially "Anyone But Bernie"
So that leaves who? Well, it's Sleepy Joe Biden, ex-VP to Obama, and thus almost guaranteed to get the black Dem vote, because Obama. Bernie Bros hate him with a passion because he's too Washington and mainstream (a bit like Corbynistas hated anything to do with Tony Blair - ie electable) and not left-wing enough.
Unsurprisingly the Black Boomers in the South have indeed backed Biden, putting him in front after an appalling start to the primaries, and the Bernie Bros are about this close to invoking Uncle Tom slave tropes to explain it. The seething and racism and outright hatred of actual blue collar Dems (and those dumb black voters) is rampant. Again, familiar.
But Christ alive, Joe Biden seems genuinely retarded. He can hardly string a fucking sentence together and looks about 120 years old, even compared to ancient walking heart attack that is Bernie.
Trump would wipe the fucking floor with Biden in presidential debates.
How on God's green earth did the Democrats end up with a choice between Crazy Bernie and Sleepy Joe? I thought it was depressingly terrible when the best they came up with was fucking Hillary Clinton, but this is reaching new heights (lows).
