so because not many teams have wide players capable of delivering double figures from a wide position we're okay to not have those players either. marvelous.
You live in cloud fucking cuckoo land lad.
because I think a wide player who plays week in week out for us should be able to deliver double figures in the league. oh how our standards have dropped. it's no wonder we're shit scared of torres getting crocked.
Im not scared of Torres getting crocked.
And i asked you to look at the facts, those being that ONE player who plays out wide in the top 3 leagues in Europe acheived what you are saying we should expect. That player being Ribery (value 50m). If you want to include the other 4 who play some games wide who acheived it then lets do that Messi (value 80m) Ronaldo (value 80m) Henry (value 20m at 30 odd year old) and Kuyt OUR player.
So what im saying is, if you take the teams who won (fuck it lets say 5) the top leagues in Europe
Barcelona
Manchester
Marseille
Inter
Wolfsburg
only 2 of them have ONE 10+ wingers even if you ignore the fact that NONE of them are wingers.
In England none of the other 18 teams had one, in Italy not one team, in France none, in Germany ONE....
My point being wether you expect it or not is neither here nor there, there are next to no players in europe that will do it, certainly not that a club who havnt won the league in 20 years and have 350m of debt should 'expect' to be here.
Your utopian view of what is and is not acceptable from your players is borderline mental.
I believe the last team to win any of the top leagues in the whole of europe with TWO wingers getting 10+ league goals was Arsenal with Pires and Ljungberg a good 6 years ago, so surely the fact that leagues are being won time and again without this figure youve once again plucked out of your arse being relevant should show you that regardless of what you WANT, what we need to win the league is in all likelyhood totally different.

Duff and Robben probably did Oncy, at a guess.
But anyway, I fully agree with your point. Spidey's talking balls. Again.

+1.
Though I will say that it shouldn't just be goals that are considered for a wide player. If Riera was getting 15-20 assists with 5 goals, then that'd be a fabulous return.
But, well, he's not.
