Bales current hot streak will last as long as it takes opposing Managers to recognise they need to pay him special attention. Expect opponents to double up on him to combate his speed and squeeze the space.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has slated Rafa Benitez over his tactics for Inter Milan's defeat this week.

Redknapp is keen to bang the drum for English bosses – and insisted Blackpool’s Ian Holloway would have done better in the away dugout than former Liverpool boss Benitez.

He said: “Foreigners aren’t any cleverer than we are.

“Were they clever tactically the other night by leaving Gareth Bale one-for-one with their right-back, when he kept ripping him up?

“I was surprised, for sure. Ian Holloway would have doubled up on him.â€

fucking wanker. when he achieves HALF of what rafa has he can talk. cunt.

Fond images being shattered Neil ?

I mean Bale only scored a hattrick the week before, nobody could have thought he needed to be dealt with.

okay, tactically naivety from rafa but rafa's naivety has gleened him;
1 CL
1 uefa
1 FAC
2 la liga

what has rednapp's tactical brilliance gleened him?
a couple of carling cups and and an fac.
oh, despite rafa's naivety and rednapp's brilliance, he (rednapp) managed to finish about rafa ONCE in six seasons.

League position is heavily correlated with the size of the wage bill. Ours has always been greater than any team Redknapp has managed so you'd have to expect that.

And this "tactical brilliance" of Rafa doesn't really stand up to much scrutiny - hence your reaction earlier.

chumps don't win the CL or la liga.
okay ros, let's see who goes further in europe this season, rafa or rednapp.

If they both had equal resources then that would make sense, but since Inters wage bill is twice what Spurs is it seems a little stupid.

We know Inter have a squad capable of winning the entire thing though, so let's see if they do, isn't that a better test of Benitez ?

Actually I'd say the current Spurs team isn't that far apart with Inter's in terms of quality.

And please don't do a player-by-player comparison. That isn't always the best and most accurate factor in such arguments.

the bottom line is it's a bit rich one coach questioning another coach's tactics when that coach has achieved far more in the game.
what's the pinicle or rednapp's career? qualifiying the CL?

Would Redknapp's statement be any less true if it came from the mouth of Ferguson or Mourinho or Ancelotti (who have achieved more)?

Redknapp is a gobshite. We know that already. He just happens to be correct on this occasion. It was a huge tactical error on Rafa's part, to leave Bale one on one with Maicon.

Well Redknapp's getting his arse handed to him by Owen Coyle the melted face wab.

He'll turn around and say that's proof that British managers(i.e. Coyle) aren't worse than foreign ones, cos afterall, he did not say he was better than them/Rafa. 😛

maybe not but I'd respect their opinion more that for sure.

This Bale talk really gets on my tits. Yes he's good and yes he's in excellent form but people are going a bit far! Any joy he had today was because that big ejit Steinnson was parked right up his arse on the half way line, meaning if Bale could find a one-two he was away with 30 yards of space to run into! A full back who holds his defensive line and has a bit of support from his winger in front should be fine.

Give it a few weeks and he'll be back in his place.

Bale was owned by Lee Chung Yong today.

Does that mean that Lee is the world's best player on form now ?
Let's get him !
Lee's a fairly useful player to have around, for us at least. What would be SCM's opinion if he were mooted as a possible signing?

I quite like him, but really we need a lot better on our flanks.

Kagawa, Honda and Chung-Yong Lee

£50million thanks to £40-a-roll tape? 😛

THE FA have launched a taping-up inquiry – after Gareth Bale played out of his skin with weird black strips stuck to his thighs.

The Spurs star has become a £50million target for the giants of Europe since he began using the £40-a-roll Kinesio tape, which helps to prevent muscle strains and combats tiredness.

Bale swears by it – and his amazing Champions League performances against Inter Milan have made the FA take notice.

Now 150 physios from grass-roots level all the way up to the national side will attend a Kinesio session at the end of the month.

David Beckham has tested it out on his back, while Tour de France legend Lance Armstrong describes it as “miracleâ€.

Kinesio UK boss Kevin Anderson said: “It is a new way of treating injuries, but can aid people to play better too.

“Even if a player has a niggle or is tiring, they are able to continue at their optimum level because they don’t feel the pain.
â€

The same way that special all body swimsuit helped Michelle Smith win those unprecedented three olympic gold medals for Ireland?

Are you seriously trying to attribute Bale's success to steroids?

Because that would make you seem a bit mental

"You saw what Gareth did against Inter Milan, when he terrorised them, really, and that would be in their minds an awful lot, I'm sure, if you asked them.

"Everybody in Italy talks about Bale - I went over and watched a game and everyone was asking me: 'Is Bale fit? Is Bale fit?'.

"He would scare them to death, for sure."

Wow! The same way Spurs' defence will feel about Ibra, Pato, Robinho and co? :🙂
