Did we just do really well and go high up in the table as much as anything because the rest of the top clubs apart from Chelsea are in Europe?

I know we played boss football but it's interesting that as we've slipped other teams have picked up many points - more specifically whilst the European break has been on since November. When it starts up again this month I don't think it's that unreasonable that the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Utd will drop more stupid points and we could well end in a good position. Something's gotta go our way

Maybe - but it is hard to tell as Man City, and Man United have not had total success, and Arsenal are being Arsenal. So in theory your suggestion only really holds true for Spurs but then they drew two games did they not ? I believe our biggest problem was caused by Phillipe just coming back, and Mane leaving. So it is hard to tell but I do share your hope that maybe Europe plus the other cup competitions will tire our the others somewhat giving us some advantage. It also depends on how hard the other teams have to fight it out in Europe - if they win a few games in Extra time then for sure I reckon that will make them a little more tired - and I am hoping that will be the case.

I'm convinced that everyone else is about to be shit again and it'll therefore be fine. Like your competition for that hot girl breaking his leg or getting abducted by lizards or whatever
