The Death Spiral

let me get my head around this...

We are in a death spiral....(ok may be you have a point here. evidence backs you up)

You also think that it doesn't matter who the manager is, and that our decline can't be stopped by just changing the manager....(you are right here. Manager is not our only problem)

So obviously the solution to stop all of this is sack the manager and give the job to Rafa...this solves everything.

riiight....

Let see Loew look smart in one of these Bad Boys. Rafa would look the part. Your jumper philosophy has just been shattered.

Anyone who isn't in the army who wears one of those jumpers should be locked up though. Deffo likely to go on a killing spree at some stage.

when modern planes stall and go into a death spiral, you will not see a pilot desperatlly pulling up on the controls trying to bring the nose back up. all he has to do is let go and sit back, the safety systems on the plane correct the problem unaided. that is called being a good pilot.

if we bring in a manager with the specific intention of getting us out of this mess, the way he goes about that task and his job will ironically be what leads to our death. you can see it already happening with the fucking cunt we have now. we just need a calm relaxed manager that trusts the players and the nature of football games, and just gets on with picking the right team and making the right signings.

we're an absolutely massive club. so long as the manager doesn't preoccupy himself with the club, the finances, politics and mind games, but just gets on with making good decisions, then the club will naturally correct itself and come back to its rightful position. that is the good thing about being liverpool

*feels calm with Dantes at control of the thread*

The only way to stop the 'death spiral' is for the club to show proper ambition.

Cash available for top players and top potential plus high calibre manager and the atmosphere will lift.

HaHaHaHa ... Benitez 😱

How will that conversation go?

"Errr.. Rafa mi' old mucker, me old mate (nervous 'friendly' punch on shoulder). Good to see you!."

"Now I know we sacked you an all that, and wouldn't pay up your full contract and stuff but you know we were only messing right? We didn't really mean it. 'Course not, we love you."

"Now the guy we put in temporary change has turned out to be a bit of a twat so how would you fancy coming back for 6 months or so and filling in for us whilst we find someone decent?"

Yepp - I can see him signing in an instant.

Except the people who let him go arent the one's doing the hiring.

I dont think he'll come, nor should the club ask, but I'm pretty sure he'd come back.

If someone could teach him to sign some good strikers, wingers, and ask him to attack, it would work..

I'm not, mate. He'd tell the owners he wanted full control again, and the negotiations would end there and then.

Until he decided he couldn't any more. Even if he initially agreed (which I doubt he would), fetching him back to work under Comolli would be a ticking timebomb.

I agree. Rafa needs some time to reflect on his political errors of judgement before he takes on another management role. On current form Rafa would be at loggerheads with Comolli and NESV in no time.
