Perhaps a loan move to a Premier league club would work out in our favour ultimately
I was merely referring to a successful loan period significantly increasing the transfer fee we would likely get.I don’t see how having Adrian as the main backup to Alisson could be described as “working in our favour”.
It is a tricky one though.

We would indeed need a better back up than Adrian
Real Tayto for sure.A bag of Tayto would be a better back up than Adrian.
Yes, had been with the club since 2015, when he was 16/17 and now 23 so qualifies as homegrown.Does he count as home grown though?
Best Irish Keeper since....
Who?
Looks better than Given so far, but early to say
Packie Bonner? Definitely Better
Gavin Bazunu - How does he compare?

Pfffft….. none of them are as good as Pat Jennings.
I reckon you could add Phillips and Neco Williams to that list.I was about to say It is starting to feel like a clearout though
So I did a list. And it's not too bad at the minute.
Mane
Origi
OX
Kelleher
Salah.(Maybe)
Can't judge him against either bonner or given. He needs to be play regularly before he can be compared to anyone. Potentially he looks good but needs a good run of games and not just a sporadic game here or there.Best Irish Keeper since....

I just can't see us letting him go this season, more to do with the home players quota than anything else.Kelleher is very good, and will be great.. but the timings are not looking great. Ali is 29, unless he gets a big injury he will hopefully stay here for another 3-4 years minimum. Kelleher is good enough to play in the PL now and he knows it. We may struggle to keep him as just a cup keeper which would be a huge shame. Our best option like Count suggested may be PL loans (multiple) to keep him on our books but unfortunately not part of our squad. This would mean having to promote Pitaluga (which may not be a bad thing) as Adrian can not be trusted!
I hope we negotiate a sell on and buy back clause on the transfer. He’s likely to keep improving and end up a very versatile player in a top 6 side…just not suited to us right now.
Injury prone and high wages which is why I say £3-5m. Mini is worth more than £17m, as he his goals to minute ratio is one of the best but that seems to be where the club will sell at.Surely even now Ox is worth more than £5m. He's not even that old. Otherwise those figures look reasonable enough.
My hope is we can afford a quality midfielder as well as Nunez. No idea who but I think we need a bit more pace and power in there, personally.
