The battle for 2nd - 5th

If Lucas Moura hasn't gone the way of most recent Brazilians (in that they peak at 25), he will be a tremendous signing for them.

For all their skill and ability, Spurs have missed a player who can skip 2 or 3 players easily. Eriksen, Kane, Alli are outstandingly efficient players who lack dribbling ability. Son gives them a bit of dribbling and skill, but he lacks the power of a Hazard/Mane/Sanchez. This Moura kid has it.. or at least had it.

Hopefully Sunday is too early for him, given that he hasn't played consistently for some time now.

I wanted us to take a risk on him as the price was very cheap compared to what is out there on the market these days. Now given that in 2012/2013 he was very sought after - he was ahead of Coutinho in his development then, but I think with him it was a case that the people that bought him actually believed he was the finished article - I actually think Klopp could have made him a better player but for whatever reason we did not go for him. I have that belief in me that I think he could have been the ideal candidate to replace Coutinho for the short term, if not that at least be another creative/goal-scorer type to give us another option.

I just hope he is a complete failure at Spurs now. But I think he will be ready to play against us on Sunday though.

He's started one game all season, playing in a total of five, if he does start i'm not sure how fit he'll be for the occasion.

How on earth do you think he could be an ideal replacement for Coutinho? They're very different players.

He'd be cover for Mane/Salah if coming here. He's never played centrally in his career!

It's a numbers game though. If Salah or Frim get stretchered off on Sunday we'll be fighting Arse for sixth, while their agent sorts a deal to get them both out the club.

But yeah ok we'll get no injuries and win the CL and our best players will stay and we'll spend loads in the summer on the bestest players ever, and might even get a keeper who can keep. Please sir, can I have some more?

Trust me - Klopp would move him around like a bitch regardless, and he does have an eye for a pass, a goal, and dribbles, plus pace. He has all the qualities - but I think @Mystic has a point in that he has only started one game all season - so fuck knows what his fitness would be like, and if it is not good then under Klopp he may have just fucking die on the pitch in his first game with a heart attack.
