The dodgy Thai did finance the purchase of a couple of players who must now be thinking they dont have a look in.
Probably the highest profile of which would be Elano and Petrov. Both of whom were terrific under Sven. What next for those two? I wouldnt mind both or either as squadies. Elano probably moreso because he is flexible (and a current Brazilian first teamer).
Surely they both wont stay there? Caicido, Bellamy, Richards, Bojinov etc. They must be gutted these lads.

Elano
Manchester city 64 starts scored 18 goals
Brazil 15 starts scored 6 goals.

Petrov
Manchester city 46 starts scored 7 goals.
Bulgaria 71 starts scored 16 goals.

Isn't Bellamy on about 140k a week? I bet he's not too bothered

I'm sure City will adopt the Chelsea approach to selling their players.

I.e, selling them either to the foreign leagues, or to the lower placed English teams for a snip.

However Elano would be a lovely edition if we had a chance.

Petrov would be lovely if he still has his pace.
[/quote]He was brilliant untill his injury. Elano is a lovely footballer. Theyre both wasted at that shitfest.

Petrov was their best player whilst fit, however I'm not sure he's not injury prone.

Elano blows hot and cold and hasn't always deserved to start for them (despite his moaning suggesting otherwise), but would be a decent squaddie.

Elano's effectiveness has been limited by playing more on the left since Robihno and SWP turned up.

By all accounts (the blokes who go on the Sunday Supplement) Elano is a horrid influence in the dressing room and is a lazy player in training.
He doesn't sound like Rafa's cup o tay.

That doesn't explain why he was poor for the second half of his first season with no Robinho or SWP in the team.
