picture the scene: tevez scores a last minute winner for us against the mancs at anfield, and celebrates by walking back to the halfway line staring at the floor.

Haha.

Don't you want us to sign him, Skulls?
[/quote]

i'm completely in 2 minds about it.

He'd be another lovable nutter like Mascherano.

If we only make one signing this summer, it should be Tevez, but not for more than £24million, and that's the maximum figure, it should be less.

having a player who didn't celebrate goals against the mancs would make my skin crawl. i would never truly love him.

i think he'd be fantastic for us, though.

He might still be mad at them when he leaves, and therefore might just go mental if he scores against them.

come on man. he will have nothing against the fans whatever happens.

he will sign for them i think. fergie will use his ape psychology to make him feel wanted and tevez will forget about any insecurities he experienced when they bought berbatov.

Ha, you're probably right 'man'.

But I'm not sure I agree that he will sign for them, he seems like his mind is made up, and he strikes me as being someone who's quite stubborn once he's made his mind up.

Here's hoping.

Plus, him signing for us whilst the Manc's still long for him to sign for them makes it all the more sweeter.

Just as I predicted. They will rather bite the bullet and cough out the dough than to have us or city get tevez.

people may say tevez would be a lot of money, well, better a lot of money on one quality player then lesser amounts on several average players which is exactly what happened last summer.

They can cough up all they want. If Tevez feels he's been badly treated by the scum, and he clearly does, then what they will or will not pay becomes irrelevant.

Most footballers will soon forget the bad treatment as soon as they see the dough. They can be very professional about that, I assure you.

You realise if he signs for another club that they'll offer him a professional contract, wherein he can expect to see lots of dough? I'm pretty sure his agent will let him know this.

I am being cynical partly because Man U will simply up the offer to spite all competitors especially us. Not to say I won't welcome Tevez coming here but it simply will not happen

And I will repeat that if Tevez wants to move because he thinks he hasn't been valued by the mancs then upping the offer just won't work.

From what Kia and Tevez have said, he felt betrayed by their willingness to sign Berbatov instead of offering him a permanent deal. These feelings were reaffirmed by Berbatov starting the more important games whilst Tevez warmed the bench. Then Utd (up until now at least) decide that Tevez isn't really worth the sum they originally negotiated, and that they'd prefer to sign him for considerably less (understandable from their perspective, but further evidence to Tevez that he isn't seen as being a vital cog in the Old Toilet machine).

So- there is every reason to believe that Tevez may see his future away from the scum no matter what they offer.

He has also mentioned the World cup a few times, and probably thinks his place or fitness or shapness or whatever will be affected by sitting on the bench for united next season

Moot point for now. We shall have to wait and see.

I know its only one game, and its hard to change the game from the bench but yesterday tevez was a fucking headless chicken. what the fuck was he doing last night? I half expected him to started running around in a very small circle chasing his own tail. dear me...

Hahahaha

maybe he missed the flight because he ran down a blind alley at the airport.
yes, he's a headless chicken but I still want him to be OUR headless chicken.

Ok.

I wonder what else we could have for the money Tevez would cost? Say he was £25mill for example, I wonder who else is out there in the forward positions for that. The most bang for our buck like.

People seem to mistake grafting and doing a fair share of work for running around the pitch aimlessly.

Tevez is far from a headless chicken.

I'd prefer David Silva. And he'd probably cost a smidgen less.

The thing is- if we really bid for this Lavezzi person, you'd think that we certainly wouldn't be bidding for Tevez. Or has that Lavezzi link been poo-pooed?

I would hope for £25 million you would get a little more quality than Tevez. I mean he does have skill, graft and eye for goal, but you wouldn't put him in the same bracket as Torres or Gerrard. I would sacrifice a little in the way of stamina/legs for a bit more sparkle.
