Tevez Factor

Ha yeah those eye sockets were grim.
I've probably seen it 20 times and still half gag when I see the body of the first girl discovered in the fishing net.
And then Hoopers face at the start of the autopsy when he pulls back the cover.

Fantastic movie just a pity I've never seen it in cinema.

Myself and @Bradley went to see it in a cinema a few years ago, the QFT in Belfast.

It was great, it was also the first time I had seen it in years and there was a lot of stuff I had missed when I was younger.

Just like to add that Robert Shaw is epic in that movie.

One of the best bits is those guys scrambling back to the shore as that wooden jetty is ripped away and pulled out to sea.
Flawless performance.
From his very first line at the chalkboard you're instantly drawn to the character.
"yall know me"
"ya know what I do"

It needs a cinema re release but the cinemas around here refuse to have oldies days or nights.
Although I'm not sure if I'd watch it in 3d or whatever.
It's perfect in original form.

You need to find an arty cinema that specialises in showing stuff that no one else does.

[article=http://www.sport-english.com/en/news/liga-bbva/juves-carlos-tevez-buys-house-madrid-atletico-rumours-intensify-4263401]Atletico Madrid target Carlos Tevez has already put down a deposit on a house in Madrid as the Juventus forward edges towards a move to Spain.

Diego Simeone has already admitted that Atletico would love the Argentine on board.

"It’s always exciting to have players like Tevez. He has the game in his blood. He’d be an ideal signing for our style of play," Simeone said.

"I have to admit I haven’t spoken with him, but I know people at the club are talking to his agent."

Despite Simeone saying he doesn't know how far a long a move is, things seem advanced. So advanced, in fact, that Tevez has already chosen the house where he will live.

The former Mancheter City striker has paid a 1.5 million euro debosit on a house in the Spanish capital through London-based company Proto Organization LTD, who also deal with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Edinson Cavani.

At a total cost of 3.7 million euros, the house is 700m², has two floors and a garden which is 2,000m² and includes fountains and swimming pools.[/article]

I guess it's not us ... though I really hope it is ... He'd be an ideal striker to lead the line.
[article=http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/9885915/carlos-tevez-offered-return-to-england-amid-speculation-over-juventus-future]Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has been offered the chance to return to England by an unknown Premier League club, according to Sky sources.

But Sky Sports understand that club is not Liverpool, despite press reports suggesting Brendan Rodgers could tie up a deal for the former Manchester City and Manchester United star this week.

Tevez, who has a year remaining on his contract at the Serie A champions and Champions League finalists, has also received three offers from abroad – one of which is thought to be Atletico Madrid.[/article]

Why on earth would he want to come back to England unless he's offered a crazy paycheck... And crazy paycheck we cannot afford.

Maybe to be the first player to win the Premier League title with 3 different clubs.

Bonus challenge: Name the other 5 who have won the title with 2 clubs in the Premier League era.

Our very own Kolo is another.

He should've been the first to win with 3 clubs. Duh!

Well, I suppose we can always stare down Tevez and tell him that Kolo's going to beat him to that honour if he doesn't hurry up and sign. And hope Tevez blinks.

If Tevez joins we will stand a chance to have the first three time winners. Then maybe get the middle one below so that we can have 3 3 time winners.

I cheated, here are the rest:

Henning Berg, Anelka and Ashley Cole

[article]Boca Juniors vice-President Oscar Moscariello confirms President Daniel Angelici is ‘waiting to meet’ Carlos Tevez in Chile.

It was revealed earlier today that the patron had flown to meet with Tevez, who is representing Argentina in the Copa America, and the VP gave an update on the situation.

“He [Angelici] arrived in Chile this morning, but we haven’t had an update on the situation yet,” Moscariello told Tuttomercatoweb.

“I don’t know if he’s had contact. Tevez is the idol of our supporters, a symbol of Boca, but also of Argentina, we’d be delighted to have him back with us.

“We’ve spoken with his agent, Juve are fine with Boca, but we’ve especially been working with his agent.

“Now we’re waiting to meet Carlos to continue the negotiations.”[/article]

Wouldnt suprise me if it was Arsenal. I dont think its us, sadly..

I suspect you're right. He'd suit us to a T but he's not young enough for FSG to be interested, more's the pity.

I don't think age is the reason. We signed Lambert after all. Their theory is around value, and at this price, he seems like he would be good value. Maybe his wages would be high?

I can't understand why we wouldn't be in for him to be honest.
