We'd be fools to sell him if he is happy on reasonable wedge and willing to only play in the LC, FA and easier competition CL games except for in emergencies. He scores goals and links intelligently in the team. He just maybe isn't powerful enough for big games and physical battles so shouldn't be central to our plans.
He's the type of guy who could score 10-15 goals in 35 appearances starting 20 games if we want to win consistently and stay competitive across all competitions on a budget, I'd keep him for his prime. I know it may just not fit personality or ambition wise for him. But that would be the only thing stopping me.

I suspect your right there..Klopp seems to really like him, and bet one of the reasons is it’s because he puts the graft in 😀
He’s got a great minutes per goal stat. He does seem to play against the poorest opposition we play.
I think he’s far too light weight still - but as a squad player he has his uses.

Yeah he does pretty much everything you'd want from a cheap squaddie. Works hard, scores goals in cups/against shit teams and actually stays fit, unlike a couple of our other players who cost like 5 times more

Building and maintaining a squad is largely about moving on players who are overvalued or have reached their ceiling and replacing them with players who can offer more for the same or lower costs.
Minamino is in a weird spot, he's clearly nowhere near our first XI when everybody is fit, signing Diaz and probably Carvalho would push him even further back in the queue. You can only register so many players and if we are overstocked with better players in his position then it makes sense to move him on and use that spot in the squad for somebody who can add more value. I don't think people dislike him or want him out of the club, but he's in a position where he's closer to the exit door than the first team, thats not really his fault. The job of the manager is to keep improving his squad, our squad now is alot stronger upfront than when we signed him, I don't know that he's need anymore.

Well Carvalho is not that relevant because he's home grown (I think) and plays in midfield, so it just depends on whether Klopp is focusing on bringing in even more players into the forward positions. We've got 3 forward positions, so must consider at least 6 players in terms of availability.
Origi is more than likely off, one of Salah or Mane (probably Mane) look to be off. We've got Elliot who can play on the right, but is far better in midfield and was utilized in midfield before injury. I think!
So we'd have Jota, Firmino, Salah (I hope), Diaz, with Elliot playing the odd game there. We can't be having more world class forwards sitting on the bench so we must have squad players that can come in for the lower priority games. And we really can't knock Minamino for his role in the cup games this season. Of course there are better players than him, but he's done what was asked of him this season. Started 5 cup games and scored 5 goals. And he was dirt cheap. Not easily replaced by a superior player at the kind of fee he cost us.
We could lose Mané, Firmino and Origi this summer. Minamino won’t be moving on too.
We'll probably sell 2 of those. Origi I think will be out of contract and will leave on a free. I expect one of Mane or Firmino to be sold - can't see us offering an extension to both.
Minamino I think will depend on the kind of offers we get. He's been very productive in limited playing time, so there's a chance a team offers us 15 million. I think if that kind of offer is on the table, we sell him.
Neither will be getting an extension. If they were to get one then it will have been sorted by now. It does depend on replacements but going into next season with Salah, Jota and Diaz with Minamino plus incoming transfers in support could be the way to go.
