So far the only squaddie thats been linked away i've seen is phillips for 10m.

I genuinely think we'll spend a maximum of 50m now, across all signings. Thuram (if we're lucky) and a freebie CB (which should have been N'Dicka).

There’s probably several layers to that though - more to do with cash flow, overseas squad slots, agent costs, and homegrown players available at a high skill level & reasonable price point.

Other than Phillips, we’d only really be looking at Thiago & Matip being shifted from the first team squad.

There’s money and space for 2 more players before we start needing sales.

You are sensible fan mate, myself? flirt between being grateful to having been able to support the team we had over the last 6yrs to being in a rush to being really annoyed with owners just spend a little more to give Jurgen maximum resources before he leaves.
By the way, say if we don’t get anyone else in now of any note before start of this season, how would you feel about it?
Especially having seen all our rivals spend big I guess.

Liverpool are ready to push ahead with a deal for RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
Newcastle United had previously expressed interest in the 22-year-old but have now left the way clear for Liverpool.
After the deal initially looked difficult to do following a meeting earlier this week, the dynamic has shifted in the past 24 hours and Liverpool appear to have been given confidence that it is possible.
Liverpool and Leipzig are already in dialogue with Fabio Carvalho’s season-long loan move to the Bundesliga club expected to be completed today (Friday) and it was inevitable that the Szoboszlai deal has come up.
Szoboszlai has a €70million release clause in his contract — with conflicting reports about its expiry — but regardless the move will involve a significant financial outlay.
He is the latest attacking midfield option being considered by the club and fits the profile they are looking for in the window, following the earlier pursuit of England international Mason Mount who is now close to joining Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Szoboszlai is high in Liverpool’s thinking amid interest in Khephren Thuram and Romeo Lavia. The move is unrelated to Fabio Carvalho’s proposed loan move to the Bundesliga club.
Szoboszlai has been an important player for Leipzig since his move from Red Bull Salzburg in 2021. He made 48 appearances during the 2022-23 season, scoring 10 goals.
A regular for Hungary, he also has 32 caps for his country.
Liverpool have already completed the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.

Ornstein saying Newcastle walking away... that's key here.

Indeed as that can maybe set the terms and structure up in a better way for us. Sounds like he would have gone to us over Newcastle anyway though but if they had agreed to pay it all at once then we would have been out.

TPG with a similar post to Joyce and Ormstein.
It sounds like a coordinated press release in conjunction with the club.
Similar to how the signing of Jota was broken
