Hope not - we need someone for the left side to be a little creative. Is Fekir left sided ? - we need him, Shaqir is cover for the front creative area, we need Fekir. I can't believe we would pull out like that after spending so much energy and time on this. Plus all rumours say the player wants to come here so there is no way we will say "No" - get these good players while we still have a good reputation after reaching a CL final.

The only place we're really vunerable now is a long term injury to Firmino, but with the Shaqiri signing it does mean we can move Salah or Mane there and cope quite well. Hopefully Sturridge can stay fit and help out too, and Brewster when he's fit can start to get a sniff.

Cant remember a better transfer window than this. Yeah we still have gaps that need to be looked but the quality of 3 of those incoming players immediately improves the first team significantly.

Its not enough though..because we still lack a Couitinho type player ... shaquiri has been bought to interchange with the front 3...but with OX out we need a creative passer of some kind...PLUS we need others in midfield who can also add to the goals. There was too much reliance last season on the midfield becoming a permanent water carrier for the front three..especially after OX was out.
Fortunately this says more about the quality we have in Shaqiri's position than it does about the player himself.
I think Keita is here for that role. His passing range is excellent.
I think we need an ACTUAL forward more than a Coutinho lite.

I think people asking for a 50 or 60m player to effectively sit on the bench are dreaming.
In an ideal world we have a quality little back up to Bobby. Some up and comer who is a year away from pushing Bobby for a start.
But all in all thats as good eskwad as I can remember in the premier league.
I would like Solanke and Origi and Ings to go and one great back up in. And if that doesnt happen we are VERY injury dependant.
Lets hope that doesnt haunt us later.

Simply not true. It's fair enough that he has shown patience and determination in certain cases - sometimes positively, sometimes not - when it comes to signing players, but let's not pretend Shaqiri was a Plan A signing, and also not forget that Salah, for example, was one of two or three winger options last summer. Klopp didn't even know as much about him as he did about Brandt, who was his preferred signing.
