I spoke to a couple of chelsea fans who suggested he is where near as talented as Loftus-cheek.

Time will tell, I haven't seen him play.

I think it could be another Kevin Stewart

I suspect Chelski fans are just bitter that another one's gone. Loftus Cheek is an extremely impressive young player but I'm not sure he's that suited to Klopp's style of play. Christie-Davies on the other hand is quicker, more agile, with (I think) a better eye for goal, and can really work as a box-to-box midfielder. It's a well-thought-out signing.

Ill look forward to him been slaughtered on here for not being at least as good as Gerrard in his prime despite being 20.

He’ll be wank and you know it.
Id be astonished if anyone could think of any examples of a clubs academy players being past 18 or 19 leaving for free and turning out to be a great player.

Maybe ive had a brain fart but I cant think of any.
Theres a reason you pick up Kevin Stewarts and Dom Solankes and this kid. If they were going to be great players they wouldnt be available.

Im
Much much happier about us keeping Brewster than I am about this.

Wasnt Kane supposed to be shit .... thrown out by Arsenal and then repeatedly sent on loan before he turned worldly ?

Does Pogba count? Totally agree though, tough to see signings like this going anywhere but hopefully that's wrong.

Its not the same anymore .... these under 20's rarely get a look in due to the super talent in the bigger clubs. Also Klopp can get more out of these players and develop them to be world class in his system. They just need games and also to play with more senior players. Solanke will come really good ... he makes the right runs and that goal against Brighton was brilliant. Also ... how great do any of our 3 look brilliant when one of them is out ?

Moron, you take the cake. If you are a parody poster, I take my hat off to you.

If you're not, then Allah help us.

Not the same as that heady wonderful bygone era of 2014 when Harold Kane broke into the first 11 of Tottingham Hotspurs from North London.

Suarez told he can leave (Barca). It's the Express so take it with a pinch of salt. Sorry I cannot post the link.

Daniel Levy - ain't the sort to spend millions on a goal-scorer - he was always going to get a chance in that team and because he was probably their only choice they had to use him, therefore he got his chance in that season and scored those goals. Contrast with his previous season he scored 3 goals in 10 appearances.

When Klopp joined us he started playing Origi more regularly because sturridge was injured (or rather not making himself available) and we had no one else to support Firminio - in 16 appearances he scored 5 goals in the PL (overall for that season it was 33 appearances and 10 goals). Origi was doing well until he got deliberately injured in that game against Everton and his confidence has been shot since. The point I am trying to make is that these youngsters are just not given the time to develop to their potential at these big clubs anymore. Either they have to be world class starters or they are fucking benched.

Then he went to Wolfsburg, started really well and then faded - what excuse are you going to make for him? He is another Ryan Babbel.

Young people can take time to re-adjust when they have had an injury. Contrast the criticism we apply to these youngsters to Daniel Sturridge - oh he is world class he is a top scorer - when really he only ever played one good season where scored 20 goals in his whole career. Everyone was willing him to come back season after season since that good season. We seem to abandon all our youngsters without even giving them a good runout in any meaningful games with proper senior player support. Even the CL final - what the fuck does Klopp do when Salah is injured ? - he brings on a partial cripple in Lallana rather than play a fit youngster like Solanke - he had absolutely no intention of doing that the season before when short of options he was forced to play TAA at Old Toilet in the league (who was outstanding in that game compared to his most recent outing at Old Toilet).

That wasnt the point you were making at all. You said it was a different time and that it doesnt happen anymore then instantly changed to ‘ok well spurs are a different case’ and claim THEY will give players a chance because they wont spend big on a forward, ignoring I guess the 30m they spent on Soldado, 30m on Lamela, 30m on Son etc

But crack on. Its like discussing physics with a fucking monkey.

The only monkey in the discussion is you @Oncy - constantly losing your cool and coming out with rubbish. Soldano was shit and they sold him probably realizing he was no better than Kane at the time. As for the other 2 .. they are just atttack minded mids. The points I have made are facts that some of you are just too closed minded to see.

Pearce saying that Klopp is considering going into the market for a new striker with Ings leaving. Brewster won't be fit till end August.

Is Brewster still alive ?

What has his ability or impact got to do with you saying they dont spend money on forwards when they do?
I really think you should step away from the discussion. Put the crayons down and go and buy yourself an ice pop.

Theres a good lad.

No because he's shit.

Pogba is a good player, but I think the problem is that he's brilliant in flashes and moments - YouTube Hero - so people expect him to be like that all game, and all the time, and he isn't.

Certainly he's one of those that does need the right system and players around him too, but I still refuse to accept that he's "shit"

Okay I was being flippant.

But he's not world class, and so far Man Utd have massively overpaid for a central midfielder who can't defend and goes missing in 80% of games. Kind of like us with Wijnaldum, but with more haircuts and stupid dances.
