Lol

Top quality replacement

Mata Torres and Moses + 10m then maybe we can talk

Oh and another prediction: Suarez will submit a transfer request within the next 2 days

It is inyeresting that the supoosed new contrqct on offer has not been signed. I do think its possible this is a ploy by Madrid to force through Bale.

On a sidenote, Carragher's comments on Torres yesterday

"I've played with Torres at Old Trafford and he tortured Nemanja Vidic, he totally took him to the cleaners on this pitch in 2009. You wouldn't have swapped him for anyone.

"But now he can't even get on the pitch ahead of André Schürrle, who is only a winger. For me, in terms of an individual player, I don't think we'll ever see Torres come back to being the player we saw a few years ago against Vidic at Old Trafford."

It's a bit of a lighthearted joke, I don't think anyone professed to being a fan.The too-cool-for-school bollocks is great of you, most people are just taking the piss and not trying to be too pretentious about it, no surprise that's gone a bit below your station, soz.

So seriously, fuck off.

You need a cranberry juice!!

Dreamt last night we got a pen in the last min Owen was fouled and Wayne Bridge took the pen with his right foot and missed

From Arsenal's AGM today
[article= http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2464166/Arsenal-AGM-Live-coverage-Emirates-Stadium-happens-.html#ixzz2hzWjc1wr ]Question on Arsenal bidding for Luis Suarez
Question: Were there reservations about bidding for a player who was found guilty of racism and biting a player?

Sir Chips Keswick said: 'Any player must adhere to our standards. Our ethics are as strong as ever.'[/article]

Suarez plays his 100th game for us today and has scored 54 goals.
Rush had 56 in his first 100 and Fowler had 55.

Not bad for someone who cant finish.

So he could potentially become the most prolific striker we've ever had over the first 100 games after today?
Does anyone else hold a record before Rush?

Someone should make sure he knows this.

Not that he needs anymore motivation of course.

What did Torres get in his first 100?

According to LFChistory.net, he scored 50 in his first 84 games. I'm manually going through the next 16 to get the total.

I make it 61 in first 100.

Coincidentally, it seems it was around the 100 game mark that Torres turned to shit.

Roger Hunt scored 41 in his first 74 (first 2 seasons) rising to 83 in 120 after his third, and most prolific, season (42 in 46).

So Torres and Hunt must be very close to each other in this stat (most goals in first 100)

Aldridge scored 62 in 102 games, so again right up there.

If you look at Rushie's stats it is only because he got a few appearances in 80/81 that skew his stats, he played in 9 without scoring believe it or not. He then played exactly 100 games in the next two seasons scoring 61 times.

[article]Bob Paisley said you were close to leaving Liverpool?

Yeah that’s true. I gave myself two years to get into the Liverpool first team. I played in the last seven games of my first season in the first team because Steve Heighway and David Johnson were injured. I thought I had done very well but the only problem was that I hadn’t scored a goal. The next season I was back in the reserves. Heighway and Johnson were fit. I went to see Bob Paisley and told him I wanted to leave because I felt I deserved a place in the team. Bob Paisley said, 'Yeah, you can leave but the reason why you’re not in the team is you’re not selfish enough. If you had been scoring goals you had been in the team. No matter how well you played you didn’t score goals. You can go on the transfer list.' As I was going out I said 'I’ll show you I can score goals'.

I scored 7-8 goals for the reserves and fortunately for me David Johnson got injured. Bob Paisley gave me a chance. I came on as a sub against Oulu and scored my first goal, scored two against Exeter City in the cup and two against Leeds United. As you say the rest is history, but later when you find out when I spoke to Bob Paisley, he never had the intention to put me on the transfer list. That’s typical how Bob Paisley knew to get the best out of his players. Bob Paisley was very good at his job. If players wanted to sort out matters with Bob Paisley they could be in his office for an hour and the players come out happy. You ask them 'What happened?' 'I don’t know.', they would say. They would come out really happy, but he still hasn’t answered. That goes to show how good he was.[/article]

I remember that barren initial spell from Rushie, thinking I was glad we hadn't paid Chester a particularly high fee for him. Just goes to show. 😀
