Well, this was always on the cards.

We only have one goalscorer in the team (right now) as it is and his fitness is questionable. If we do sell we need to bring in at least one more player that can reliably get goals over the course of the season. Not an easy task.

There you have it SCM.

No new threads on anything until there's a quote or concrete evidence. Dreamy has spoken.
Well considering there is a a million page thread on the exact same topic already your thread is pretty pointless considering the shit u give Khl every time he posts an Eriksen link

What are you smoking? 🙂 Suarez 1st name on the team sheet once he's back
I expect that we won't sell but there is an incentive to sell if the price is right and we have cash to bring in 2-3 first team players that could significantly improve our team. There's pro's and cons. I'm not averse to selling him but if he stays and we get on with it then so be it.

Van Persie and Suarez are two different players so not a fair comparison.

For what it's worth i'd take Suarez.

If Madrid do want him, we need to move fast in the case of replacements and wrap it up quickly, no fucking about.

Van persie last season 36 games/28 goals

If I had the time, I'd actually go back through their results and see how many games he singlehandedly won with a winning goal. I'd bank on it being about 12-15 games.

I think Suarez prob won us about 4 or 5 on his own.

Suarez is amazing but he's just short of RVP for me.

we're splitting hairs, they are both incredible.

But the rest of Van Persie's team made sure that his goal counted. We did not. Not really a fair way to make the comparison.

Unfair comparison and doing the business for Utd is completely different when u compare it to the shite Suarez had to play with last for the most part. Rvp is the better finisher but Suarez is a more complete player. In any case it's a small point. The main point being not playing Suarez when he's illegible is insane

I was a huge fan of Van Persie even when he was perma-crocked at Arsenal. I remember being somewhat derided on here for suggesting that Van Persie and Torres would be the best partnership the Prem has seen. Since then I suppose Van Persie has become the primary goal getter himself and Torres has shown that his best partner is open space so perhaps it wouldn't have been a great partnership after all.

Anyways, for me there are three top strikers in the Prem - Van Persie, Aguero and Suarez.

Suarez gets underrated by a lot of people because of his antics and Aguero is weirdly forgotten about.

He scored 26 goals. I doubt they were 12-15 game winners as Bale led the league in that category with 8 if I remember correctly.

It's only unfortunate the big clubs in Europe aren't after Van Persie ... Normally the best players in England move on to Spain nowadays!

Yup ...

Aguero is because he seems to be the far streakier out of the 3 ... and switches off in games more so than VP & Suarez (Carra was going on about this on Sky

Dreamy youre being a fucking bellend.
We dont want to keep the million page thread going. New link/new thread.
And youre fucking willingness to suck Suarez cock is embarrassing.
Hes a racist, bitey, cheating, divey twat and if that isnt bad enough he lied about the club and the manager and tried to engineer a move away through the press and being a cunt in training/at the club.

Our fucking standards are low.
Well YOURS are anyway. I want the money and this twat gone.

Youre fucking illegible.

I'd have agreed 100% (except for the fact that you mean "eligible" 😉) until last season finished. Now (a) I'm not sure in what way it can still be said that Van Persie's the "better" finisher, but as against that (b) those stats about our winning ratio being better when Suarez isn't in the side have given me pause for thought.

This is according to Marca. Who had him already sold to Real 2 months ago. If we do
sell him then you can wave goodbye to any chance of 4th because we simply won't get the level of quality to replace him. More in the coffers for FSG.

Be careful with those thoughts considering it was the exact same thing with Gerrard - even when he was with his prime.

But he's a twat!!! Who cares if he's one of the best players in the world, we've never had twats play for us and we never will either!

He is a twat and if I'd volley him out the club quick smart if I had any confidence in the club replacing him. But they won't.

I dont think ANYONE would be in favour of selling him if we dont spend all the money on top replacements.
Similar to Napoli, they sold Cavani and brought Higuain, Reina, Albiol and others in.
If we do that im in favour. If we sell and loan Moses i am not.

Everyone says Utd are a one man team now, didn't you know?

Moses - we could do at lot worse than him as has been covered in his own thread. Strong, pacy, a goal threat, versatile and young. Not a world beater but great potential and grit - which we lack.

Eriksen - AskRyan.com

Alderweireld - Ajax looks dodgy defensively at times but he is by far their best central defender. Very athletic, agile and good physique. Not the tallest, neither the strongest, but he could develop into a very good defender. As Agger, likes to come forward and blast it at goal to some despair and now and then delight.

Will Hughes - Don't know him myself but seems to be highly rated on here

Viktor Fischer - Loan him back to Ajax for a Season and let him set the Prem alight in a few years

Still money left (perhaps if Skrtel, Borini or someone else are still to be sold) make a cheeky inquiry for Delph at Villa. They probably won't sell but he really looks the deal.

Squad settled for this Season and with two of the potential stars of years to come we have prepared ourselves for a storming future as well.

I don't miss Suarez already.

We need a forward if he goes. A proper good one.
