It’s his sikillset and outrageous play, his interplay with those good enough to do it with like Gerrard, together with his goals, that made him amazing to watch. He really was a genius.
In terms of being a goal scorer/predator, Salah wins hands down.

Well their goals were similar up to point of Salah playing the same number of games. Salah has been amazing but if I had to pick my dream 11 Suarez of 13/14 would still get the nod. Suarez's all round game and influence on those around him is better IMO, both very different.

Suarez is the best footballer to ever play for the club in terms of ability in my eyes so ya Salah will be hard pushed to change that. Winning us the CL would be a good start
 
I dont really get your logic. Whilst I agree Suarez is a better player at this point, the best season thing is weird to me.
Salah is having a better season. Thats inarguable to me.

I think people are overawed still by the sheer audacity that Suarez played with

Salah is just clinical and ruthlessly efficient, as well as being great in build up and flair.

No dipping 40 yarders from Salah ye....oh wait the city game

No dancing through defende....oh the spurs game

Still, he doesn't assist as muc.....wait it's 10 assists isn't it, and the ball for mane to score against city was top notch

Stumped.

His dribbling and close control is every bit as good as Suarez imho.
He just doesnt do it as much.
 
Up until now I would always have answered ‘Suarez’...but now I’m not so sure. Salah has had an astonishing first season...has anybody ever scored more in a debut season? Anywhere?

And that first season thing complicates the debate. On the one hand, it makes Salah’s contribution all the more remarkable. On the other, he needs to show it’s no fluke...and he will, of that I’ve got no doubt.

So who is the better player? I don’t honestly know but right now there’s nobody I’d want in my team more than Salah. I loved watching Suarez and I’m loving watching Salah. I have no idea who is the better player...but I do know we’ve been blessed to have both.
 
I honestly think the only difference (and its a small one) that edges it for Suarez is the workrate.
Im not saying Salah doesnt work at all, but there was a reason Klopp moved Bobby left vs Citeh.
I dont know if thats the same as Pats ‘determination’ but its the only real difference and even that is not massive.

Suarez dribbled more. Salah dribbles as well.
Suarez shot from range more. Salah does it as well.
Suarez won the ball back more......

Thats about it.
 
I was more likely to say Suarez but then Salah did that fucking outrageous goal v Spurs (which deserves way more attention) and they're actually very similar players but Suarez always is and was a cunt, so...
 
Suarez. He did it at Ajax before coming to us and at Barca after. Salah has been helped immensely by Klopp's system and Firmino's unselfishness. Suarez carried the entire team on his back for most of his time here. Salah has the potential to be as good though.
 
It's Salah.

If we're judging them purely on impact for us (fuck fucking Barca), then Salah has gone past Suarez IMO.

Afonso Alves was good in Netherlands

You can't say salahs been helped by firmino and completely disregard Suarez is helped by Messi and (formally) neymar

Fucking GOAT and brilliance right there.
 
In fairness Salah last night was more like Suarez at his best in terms of everytime the ball went near him I expected a goal
