In 110 league matches he scored in Ajax 1 to 81 times. Last season he was Footballer of the Year and top scorer of the league crown, he won the KNVB Cup with Ajax and he qualified for the Champions League. In Uruguay he stranded on the World Cup in the semifinals (against the Netherlands).
His ultimate dream - becoming a champion with Ajax - did not achieve Suarez. The last game that he played the red and white shirt, was the game at Galatasaray on the occasion of the opening of the Türk Telekom Arena. In the European context, AC Milan-Ajax (0-2) his last trick and national Ajax-PSV (0-0). Cracker that he will long be remembered for the biting incident and the suspension that seven duels that resulted.

Liverpool Football Club announced this afternoon that they had agreed a fee of up to 26.5million Euros with Ajax for the transfer of Luis Suarez, subject to the completion of a medical.
The Club have now been given permission by Ajax to discuss personal terms with the player and his representatives.
