I think if we win the next three games, considering who they're against, quite a few people will be taking us seriously as title contenders, considering it would more than likely have us top of the league going into the new year.

Personally I think we'll stay in the running until about February/March time, which is fine, because it means we'll be in a good position for top four.

Yeah, squad size will have an impact at some point, probably late on, in which case City & Chelsea have a big advantage over us.

A run in the fa cup could also cause our league form to dip.

It's a numbers game. Our numbers look good and have since the start of 2013. On that basis we are title contenders. However, to avoid deepening our despair when the financial numbers of Man City and Chelsea probably overwhelm us and we end up only in the top four, we should just take one "3pts" at a time and see what happens.

As the season progresses, the likes of City/ Chelsea/ Arsenal are going to be tiring their squad in the CL/ FA cup/ League Cup/ Europa Cup (for those that don't get through their round). This is in our favour that our players will come out of Christmas still relatively fresh and we have the squad to play weakened teams against the likes of Mansfield e.g. Moses, Aspas, Alberto, Kelly, Toure, Ilori etc.

If we can keep the intensity up I can see us continuing the win games that we used to draw, and coming away form more big games with a win. It will all come down to whether we can keep up the energy we have shown in recent weeks.

I've seen the likes of Sturridge tweeting #RedOrDead and that gives me belief that the players are gelling as a unit and know they have a great chance to really challenge this season.

COME ON LADS!

Ha ha! Normally I'd say no bloody chance but with Suarez in the team I'd say it's on! - Having said that I'd be fucking chuffed with a top four place.

I'm actually buzzing now. Obviously it's gonna be tricky but why can't we win it if we keep this up? Maybe if we had a little more faith. All really got behind the push and got Anfield really rocking on match days. Who knows what kind of a difference it could make in any given match.

I think we have a good shot at a top four place. Our over-reliance on Suarez and lack of depth will trip us up in the long haul, though.

It's all about the January transfer window. If we do OK against City and Chelsea and then go and buy 2 high quality players, a midfielder and an attacker, then we can go all the way as we will have enough to handle injuries and fatigue (assuming a run in the FAC).

The squad size advantage of the other contenders is offset by our freshness due to a lack of European football and it shows. Bring in 2 quality players in January and we can go all the way. Gerrard and Sturridge will make a long awaited return to bolster the team. Start believing lads, we are the real deal!
