Sturridge's attitude

I'm also of the opinion that he's not happy and wouldn't be at all surprised if he gets a move in the summer.
Given his injury record, who exactly would buy him? Can't see anyone other one of the mid-table teams taking a punt. And I'd be surprised if we got anything more than 15 million.

I think there would be teams willing to pay upwards of 20 million for him.

Agreed BUT on the issue of character I really think we all have to say thank you to Klopp for identifying that character issue. It appeared that studge was injured between games and was the one himself who decided he was fit to play. We meet people like that in work who turn up now and then and seem to pick their own timing. Klopp basically said FUCK THAT.

Well, let's not pile on him too much just yet – he might be still regaining his sharpness and confidence after an injury and strikers do tend to be sulky when they don't score. But he needs to get better soon, because Klopp will not tolerate bad attitude and Origi is looking good every time he comes in as a sub.

If we do sell him, I'm sure he would fetch at least £20-25M.

Everything Rurik said just above.

He's starting virtually every game now and is clearly one of Klopp's preferred 'Front 4'. With a proper pre-season (assuming he avoids injury) he could be back to his best next season, and that would be great to see in a Klopp team with a few more class additions. That said if he (and the team) continues improving in form and fitness he could also fire us to a Top 4 in the PL and / or the Europa League title.

Henderson was pissed off too (he always is) but he got his head up and applauded the fans. Sturridge looked like a kid having a sulk, he needs to cut that shit out.

At that point of the game we needed some hold up play, he wasn't getting any service at that stage, and getting behind the ball and closing isn't his greatest strength - perhaps if he'd tried to do this, he might have stayed on. Taking him off was the right decision to secure the result, I doubt he'll be sulking when he's lining up in the final ahead of Origi and Benteke. He's clearly ahead of both of them in the reckoning, so he needs to stop acting like a spoiled prick everytime we make a decision that's at his expense.

He's also been back a while now, so it'd be great if the performances started to justify his inflated ego.

Based on sturridges recent performances, I wouldn't start him in the final.

The Arsenal trio of Walcott, Oxalade, and Wilsh are being touted at £25 plus and they I would argue have a worse injury record.
If we do sell Sturridge, who are the replacements? Is Lacazette a 'klopp type player'?

Hendo was ill appaz, and at 1-1 with 25 mins to go it looked to me that they were just taking their time to trudge off the pitch to waste a bit of time. We seem to have a lot of pyscologists on here analysing every facial expression. Fwiw although hopelessly out of form I thought Studge tracked back much more in this game.

His attitude stinks..

Sulky mofo in it just for the paycheck.. Fans applauded him, and the cunt didn't applauded the fans back..

Henderson on the other hand when he was subbed showed class

I don't know Tony, I don't think you need to be a psychologist to see that he gets the hump everytime he's subbed. Normally I wouldn't have an issue with a player wanting to play, but last night and in other games there have been obvious motives for subbing him (protecting him or the result or both). Henderson never likes being subbed either and he often shakes his head when his number goes up, but he has the grace to acknowledge the fans.

Astoundingly, Studge was rated our best player by The Times!!!!

Simon Mignolet 7
Almost paid for his hesitating to come from a cross in the first half, but recovered composure
Nathaniel Clyne 5
Won a penalty at Anfield last week but gave one away last night by tripping Martial
Dejan Lovren 6
The more composed of Liverpool’s centre backs, which was unthinkable at the start of the season
Mamadou Sakho 6
Not quite as commanding as he was in the first leg. Struggled to deal with Rashford’s quick feet
James Milner 6
Performed well out of position at left back. Would have been tested more had United deployed an actual winger
Jordan Henderson 5
Missed a great chance to equalise when he shot high from ten yards. Jürgen Klopp was shocked
Emre Can 7
Continues his impressive progression under Klopp. Sat diligently in front of the defence and picked passes well
Adam Lallana 7
His energy was required in the first half as Liverpool were forced to defend in numbers. Showed some nifty skills
Philippe Coutinho 7
Turned to make a fool out of Varela and did the same to De Gea with a cheeky finish at the near post
Roberto Firmino 7
Performed steadily throughout. Tested De Gea with a fierce low drive that dipped in front of goalkeeper
Daniel Sturridge 8
Came close to opening the scoring with a dipping free kick that hammered the bar and left it shaking

That is laughable, do these fuckers actually watch the game ? Sturridge 8?? Hendo the same as Clyne, who had his worse match for us. Lovren and Sahko 6?

Not been the same player since he came back. Fitness aside, he's not working as hard, he doesn't look as quick, and he looks grumpy as fuck apart from when he's praising the sky gods.
Hopefully this isn't what we've got going forward, and it's just him coming back from injury and taking forever to get going.

That's essentially how you'd rate them if you just saw a few highlights.

Well i am a qualified body language doctor

I remember when Owen returned after one of the first of his lengthy rehabs, he'd done so much work building up the muscles around the problem areas he complained of feeling heavy-legged for a few weeks before the power and pace returned, and I wouldn't be surprised if Studge is feeling something similar. But he needs to keep his head down and get on with it, instead of looking for targets for Studge Grudge.

I don't particularly care about his attitude when being substituted, or off the pitch or anything like that. I'm more concerned about how he's performing on the pitch, and it looks like he's still not quite fit yet.

The odd thing is, in the past when he's returned, his touch has generally been sharp even when other aspects of his game have taken a while to click back into form, but this time his touch is so heavy. It's a breath of fresh air when Origi comes on - his speed, work rate and appetite are such a good contrast.

I assume Sakho is being marked out of 6 while the others are being marked out of 10, otherwise he might as well have given those before the game they bear so little resemblance to reality

Thats the worry for me, previously hes never been the sort of player thats need weeks to play himself back into form, hes just picked up where he left off. The fact he plays like hes still only at 90% suggests hes either somehow still injured or hes not bothered. I thought the goal last week would spark him up a bit, some strikers just need one to break the duck, but if anything he was worse this week. I expect he will start at the weekend but if he doesnt put in a decent shift then it might be his last start for a while

Very true, however, if we were presented with a one on one I would be happier if the ball was at the feet of Studge than anyone else. He'll be back and he can look as miserable as he likes when he starts banging them in again as far as I'm concerned

Despite his attitude we are better with him in the squad then without him. He might be a big dick but at least he offers the penetration we require, and biggest dicks score the most.

He is a striker who doesn't strike ATM. We want him to be unhappy with that and now you even want him to give the audience the clap. It's a big ask...

He is a vital player and will bounce back. You are putting way to much emphasis on a sulky face.
