Sturridge wants a transfer

Very happy to sell him. He's finished. We badly need a quality striker to come in any case.

Where could he end up ?

West Ham ?

I still wouldn't rule out Arsenal, he's been linked for ages and I think they would take a punt on him, it's whether he feels they would provide a reasonable chance of a regular start. I think he would suit their game better, where they are less reliant on a work-hard forward (even though Sanchez does work his bollocks off)

Yeah I don't think he's finished, but he does get injured a lot.

The Ev badly need a striker.

Too bad as he´s my favourite player in our current squad.

I think he will score alot of goals given a proper run but I guess that will not happen at Liverpool. There is no one I´d rather have on a one on one with the goalkeeper. Best finisher in our squad.

With Lacazette as their main man sturridge would be another bencher. I think he'll go to a club outside the top 6 so he can be the main man at the club. I'd like to keep him personally as he's better than Solanke, origi and Ings. Firmino for all his hard work doesn't score enough goals. We still need sturridge.

I don't think he needs to move to save his World Cup place. England don't exactly have an abundance of attacking talent, which is why Studge has been making squads without playing much anyway. Southgate will probably still pick him so long as he plays the odd game for us. Going elsewhere might well place such a strain on his body as he bids to become that team's regular striker that he'll do well for a month or so before collapsing with an injury that could make him miss out on the World Cup anyway. I guess if he does go it might save Ings' LFC career, but I'd prefer him to stick around until the summer.

He was dropped from Southgate's last England squad, despite the likes of Kane being missing. Seeing Solanke get called up, despite never actually starting or scoring for Liverpool, must also have been a shock to him, so this is no surprise.

He needs to be a more regular starter to make the World Cup, and given Liverpool don't have many striking options and he still can't get games - despite Firmino having a grand total of three league goals all season - makes this a long overdue move.

He doesn't seem like he will ever be the player he was again, so it's OK with me. But we needed a new striker even before all of this, and hopefully this will make Klopp finally do something about the striking situation.

I'd forgotten about the WC. Maybe Southgate has had a quiet word to say he needs to get match-fit and Studge sees a move as the only option as he's certainly not first (and sometimes not second) choice starter. We have Studge, Woodburn, Solanke and Ings and likley a top striker to come next Summer. If I was him I'd also be considering a January move.

Southgate has already told him he needs to play more regular if he wants to make the WC. Problem with have is we have Firmino as our main man....great work up front but shit in front of goal. If we get rid of sturridge the players we have left are so far below sturridge's level. Now unless we are buying a striker in January it would be stupid to let him go.

From the few opportuities we've had to see Solanke he doesn't seem that far below the current version of Sturridge so it's no surprise he was called up in place of him. I imagine Klopp will let him go.

It's fine for him to think that way but the timing of it is ridiculous. We are on a good run and confidence is high. Especially with the number of games coming till the new year he will certainly have his fair share of games. I'll rather he continue to work hard to compete for his place for another month or so than to moan about something he can't change till Jan.

Well i guess it's always about him.

We are all hoping to see the Sturridge of yester years, that's why he's still here. That's not going to happen so i'll much rather we have a willing runner in Solanke. But we might be in some trouble if Firmino gets injured.

So it's Milner as a striker then.

I have tp give you this one Dreamy, you were pretty much the lobe voice advocating getting shut of him for a long time.

I, like I suspect many others, couldn't help but remember the player he was when fit & hoped he'd get back to it. In hindsight, you were unfortunately correct.

It's a huge shame as he was sensational in his prime but sadly after 'that season' he's never come close to getting back there.

Get him off the wage bill and for a decent fee if still possible

I don't think Sturridge would view any of our striking options as serious competition, which would make his lack of starts even more galling.
