sounds good to me

a) its a bloody good design

b) money wont be wasted (with us footing the bill) designing a new one

c) it will save time as the blasted stadium needs building asap
Is the right answer, although on the great scheme of things I don't think b) will end up that much of an issue.

It shouldn't need to be a stipulation, it's common sense. I would just like to see it be version 1 and not the slightly dumbed down economy version 2.

Sources are telling me that the club is close to being sold. A weird stipulation is that whomever buys the team MUST build the stadium designed under the supervision of Mr Hicks. He wants something we can all remember him by.

Sorry: Source confidential
FUCK OFF with confidentiality plates, really.... it's not fucking on at all.... tell us who it is and we can insult you or feel hopeful as appropriate to how convincing you are.

WHO?

We've been "close to being sold" since the last fucking ice age as i understand it... and as for the stadium bit the irony of a greedy inept owner insisting on having a stadium built that he can't build himself yet seemingly still wants an interest in... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH.

I'm going to bed to dream about knifing an enormous house sized wig pig on a wide open prairie ...it will be a fight to the death, the pig will tear up through the land scattering snorting and snuffling murderously at all in its path but me and my knife... i will make a fortune from the sale of my dreamy scratchings.

CONFIDENTIAL he says... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH

Molby old chap your apparent hatred for our owners is really not helping you make rational objective judgements on almost every issue

It was not that different, the quality of the materials and build was reduced, they did away with the underground car park, which was a bit innovative and reduced some of the outside dimensions slightly, it was great , but not quite as plush as the original one

Problem with that Spidey is that inherited designs are almost always problematic, and there is not a designer or contractor in the world that would take on that risk without and inflated price. I highly doubt that the stadium has passed preliminary design and that any detailed design has been undertaken. All in all just taking that design on and building it is a sure fire way for the contractor to fire in claim after claim for changes that will have to be made based on the original designs inadequacies. This will then will inevitably spiral the cost that they will have priced the works on! The new owners will have to be clever as hell to transfer that risk and will inevitably end up paying for it in the long term

the design is top class, better than the cookie cutter out of the box crap you always see for new stadiums and what was originally planned
