Bunny : our current injuries according to Physioroom :-

B Jones Shoulder Injury no return date
S Kyrgiakos Virus 13th Nov 10 slight doubt
J Cole Hamstring Injury 20th Nov 10 doubtful
R Babel Rib Injury no return date very doubtful
D Agger Calf Muscle Strain no return date very doubtful

So Cole (who I thought was supposed to be a close call for Wigan ?), Babel & Agger are the only outfield players definitely ruled out. No mention of Aurelio who is seems has been fit for a few days .... so could be due another injury at any moment.

Lucas will play, because he deserves to.

Guess what the chances of a Gerrard-Meireles central midfield pairing happening away to Stoke?

Fucking non-existent.
Do you never learn, Ryan?

"How would that fucking work? Fucking how?"
Haha. Ouch.

When was that again, and what was the partnership?

It was something KHL predicted I think.
I can't remember exactly what though.

I think KHL correctly predicted the exact team (an amazing feat itself, given that Benitez was manager), he left out Ryan's mong love-child Lucas, Ryan reacted as per the quote, said team duly played, we won easily, Ryan was laughed off the board by all and sundry.

It really was very, very funny

Nah, we didn't win the match easily. But we did win.
I'm trying to remember the exact circumstances here....
No, we battered them.

Aquilani has got to start.

Babel too.

And Maxi.

................................REINA...............................

JOHNSON..........CARRA......AGGER...........INSUA

.....................MASHER.........GERRARD...............

MAXI..........................AQUILANI..............BABEL

................................TORRES............................

Gerrard and Aqui can swap around a bit. That's probably our most balanced team at the moment. Pace and hardwork combined with good passing skills and players who can beat their marker.
Honestly like. Do people actually put any thought whatsoever into the team they write down here? Why not just go the whole hog and drop Carra and replace him with Pacheco.

How the fuck would the above team work? How? Seriously fucking how.

It was our best performance of the season, as I remember. Basically everything Ryan had spent the previous year saying was tactically impossible happened as most other posters imagined/dreamed it would. It was fantastic.

You're right, we won 4-1.

Johnson still feeling a little sore and ....

"I'm rather hoping that the two and a half days we'll have had after Wigan will have given us time to recover," Hodgson said of his thin squad. "I don't think we've got that many possibilities to make too many changes.

"We've got senior players like Johnson, Cole and Daniel Agger who are not fit to take part in the game, and then it's young players like Jonjo Shelvey, Jay Spearing and Danny Wilson.

"There isn't an enormous luxury to make wholesale changes. If we do make any at all it will be the odd one here and there because the team is functioning well.

"We're very aware that it's three very important games in six days, so we don't want to leave anything on the training field. We want all our energy, vitality and intensity when we go into the match."

Meireles and Gerrard is the best CM partnership in the league, lets use it there is no better.

Ha ha ha, what?

I thought he meant our best partnership in the league.

Then I saw the post below

Villa's team is drawing with Man Utd's team, apparently.

No Poulsen. Wooooooooooo.

Harsh on Kelly but Soto will do well.

*Logs onto PP to put a five on the Greek to score first*

442?

I hope Roy has told Kelly he's being rested rather than dropped. He's done very well in his last two games.

Glad the Greek is back though. Without wishing to sound like Rafa, we need to control this game better than we did the last one.
