He can be the new goalkeeping coach. Can't be any worse than whoever we have at the moment.
 
I wouldn't lose sleep too much if he went..

Wonderful servant to the club.. Legend.. but past his best..

The only thing that would concern me is that he is one of the very few Leader we have, so at least another year would be Ideal.. hendo another year to step up to the plate further, as he is the only other Natural Leader other than Kolo in the squad at the mo..
 
We need him, when he plays further forward you can see he can still make a difference and his experience is invaluable in the big games, who else still manages to perform well in derbies, games against United, etc? NO ONE else would step in and offer that. He might be past his best, but as Carragher said, you have to look at how Giggs, Scholes and Lampard have been handled. You do that with Gerrard and it'll pay off.

Yeh their is that aspect... I guess... He would be ideal as a bench player. Come on with 30 minutes to go..

He would be able to make a huge differance..

TBH If I was Gerrard.. Id go for the one last Huge Pay Day that is the MLS..

Chance to prolong his career even further, and make a differance and a name for himself over there... and hey he could come back on loan in the MLS Pre-Season...

Best of Both worlds for him..
 
Can't see it. For all the hype about US soccer, he'll hardly be big news over there, and he doesn't strike me as needy in that way anyway. As for competitive challenges, it's not exactly Champions League level, so again it doesn't seem that attractive. Also, his kids are aged ten, eight and three - would it be worth the hassle to relocate for just a year or two? Or spend time away from the family for months on end? Take away a need for money, which I'm sure doesn't enter into it, and his non-LFC options aren't actually that appealing.
