I actually think he could do a job for us up front. We know he can shoot and he has a brilliant footballing brain. If this is true then we could actually have another proper game changer in our squad.

Perhaps we have cloned him, he hasn't aged that drastically since his mid-twenties, it's possible to pull off without anybody noticing. Lock him away in a cell under the new stand, and then have his younger clone assume his place.

The Hall Of Justice tried that with Judge Dredd and it didn't work out all that well
 
I dont think this is funny. He has it in him to last and play for 45mins every other game and quite frankly he could do the business behind the main striker.
 
I've always thought Carra seem likelier and more suitable to move into coaching than Gerrard.

On a sidenote, Gerrard's out injured for 2 weeks.

I'm assuming Chelsea are on the lead in this regard. Which is why they got Kante - he'll be their template for their clone army. Er, squad. An indomitable legion of troops with endless energy and tremendous range

Does anyone know what his form has been like at Galaxy?

Not heard much about him which makes me think he's been average.

I've seen the odd clip and he's hardly been even a shadow of his former self TBH. I hope this doesn't happen for all sorts of reasons.

I've expressed concerns about him being back as a coach in the past too.

Everything I've heard of the player off the pitch suggests he'd be a very poor coach.
 
Zackly. That's largely what I had in mind at the end of my post. He's probably desperate to come back and the club seems to be considering whether that can be arranged, which is understandable, but this is not the way to do it. Whether he has the personality to be an ambassador I would also question TBH, but I guess if Rushie can manage it Stevie can, and he'd do less damage that way.
 
I get the concerns. He could possibly be a disruptive element and the Stevie Me thing might come into play. I dunno though. I think I would be happy to see him back. He's older and clearly desperate to contribute to LFC. Whatever capacity that is I'd be all for it.
 
The Stevie Me thing will be long gone, I'd imagine.
I think the time he's spent away from LFC will do his personality and perspective a world of good.
I'd be happy to see a legend back at the club.
