Watching his testimonial today made me feel many emotions for a number of reasons.
Firstly, god knows where we'll be once he retires. The thought of replacing someone like Steven Gerrard is too terrifying to think about at this stage but it's something that will have to be addressed sooner rather than later.
I also felt saddened that such a great player will never win a league title. (Sorry, Oncy).
And lastly, I began following Liverpool in the season of Gerrard's debut and he has been the one constant in an ever revolving door of players at Liverpool. To have been in Melbourne the other week and been lucky enough to have witnessed a Steven Gerrard goal in my life, albeit during a friendly, was still something I will always remember.
So, in honour of his testimonial, where would you rank Gerrard in our list of all time greats? His best goal? Most memorable? How long does he have left? What type of player will he be remembered as from a Liverpool fan's perspective as well as from others?
