Sadly.. you are most probably right..He's going to be our most important player next season again and that's the last we will see him in a red shirt unfortunately.
Sterling probably won't get to be as good as coutinho currently is, completely different work ethics and attitudes towards the game
It seems people post based on emotion rather than facts. That's a bit much. I don't recall many criticising Sterling's work ethic prior to the second half of this season when his mind has been elsewhere. In fact his attitude was widely praised the year before playing alongside Suarez and Sturridge.
We do not know how Coutinho would act when Barca, etc, are whispering in his ear because it hasn't happened yet. I hope you're proved right, but it's a bit early to call, IMO.

Yep, the constant rewriting of his performances here (for much of his time he's been the player we've relied on to do something on the pitch ffs) because of the contract situation & his recent performances pisses me off.Absolute bollocks. Thinking that the current issues surrounding Sterling detract from the hard work, sacrifice and fighting spirit he's had to show so far to get where he's got in his life is mental.
He has, but since his contract negotiations his form has been abhorrent. Surely his attitude shows he's a right little cunt, without the right ethos to be a top player.
Er, he's already a top player. Been a first team regular for one of the top teams in England since he was 17 and is an international. He just wants to go somewhere else. I couldn't give a toss if he goes. If he's not happy here then sell him. But to suggest he's some sort of fly by night player who's career will flounder just because he's trying to engineer a move is madness.
He's not been "shit" since then. I dread to think what you think of some of our players if that's a genuine bias free assessment of Sterling's performances over the last couple months.
I still maintain the drop in his form is more due to fatigue than the contract shit. I'm not saying it hasn't played a part, but I think the main issue is indeed the amount his played. He's played a helluva lot for a young player, & not in a side that's always been firing, he's had a lot expected of him & he's missed out on the summer break too. That holiday was the right idea but wasn't enough imo.
Add into that the fact he played as striker so often when he clearly isn't comfortable in the role & I think it's obvious he didn't just decide to play shit.

So it's shit relative to Sterling's own standards rather than some universal definition of "being shit"?
He also needs a little sit off every few months, because he burns himself outHes shit.
And he runs like a massive bumdar the efette shit haired little queef.
Agree with a lot of that but not the bit about the S.Americans. Neither Masher's nor Suarez' form fell away that I can remember - in fact Masher was MOTM against the Arse a matter of days before he left. Can't recall how things went with Tevez though.
