My kids got me an adult one without the sponsor on it a couple of years ago. I've never worn it.

The bank whose shareholders had the cheek to question the morality of them sponsoring a team with an alleged racist. Cheeky twats.

To be fair, there are a lot of Americans who think that British people should get of their fucking high horses about morality. And they're not wrong.

I thought Americans cherished the idea of 'innocent until proven guilty' tut tut!

Looks like the allegations are unravelling.

I'm not being anti-yank if anyone thought I was. At least they prosecute their wall st thieves, we give them knighthoods. I was just pointing out the new banking laws which are giving EU banks the phear.

I dunno dude, but the guys running the projects I'm working on are taking it pretty damn seriously.

The US are going to be the first country to tax by citizenship. So even if you move and are working in another country and paying tax there, you still need to pay the US for the fact that you were born there. The EU is watching and taking notes. Every developed country is drowning in debt and would love to copy the model, so every country is playing ball with the experiment.

Is there any chance that this will come to the EU?

Does New York state’s banking regulator have an affiliation with FA and are deciding this on the basis of probability or is evidence required?

Only guessing but do you think our bankrupt govts. will pass up a chance to get a few more billion in if it works in the US? The only reason I can think for them not opposing this flow of data is that they want to copy it.

There is the massive chance that it will fail. I mean how are they going to process all this info, and even if they do how do they then go and get what they think people owe? There'll be a server farm the size of Texas and the army will find themselves retraining as debt collectors.

I suppose the whole point of the EU was so workers could freely move across the borders, so hopefully that will stop them from doing it.

I would be fucked if they brought this in, I was born in Belfast, carry an Irish passport and live in Greece. I would be working just to pay off my tax bill.

In Ireland we dont have knighthoods so we just give them €1m golden handshakes and pensions of €150K a year

One of today's papers saying we're thinking of bombing them off once the contract expires with HSBC ready to step in as sponsors.

From one robbing bastard soulless bank to another. This time a far eastern one instead of a UK one.

What ceaseless joy the modern game brings.

I don't care what they do, and where the come from, so long as they give us the money to compete.

If i was doing the due diligence on behalf of LFC, i would put ethics as one of the last things to check on the list, when it comes to sponsors...
