The club has signed a 2 year extension with Standard Chartered to continue the shirt sponsorship. Saw it online on the Daily Mail website. No mention of the fee

Standard Chartered, which is based in London but makes almost all its money in Asia, the Middle East and Africa - regions where Liverpool has a strong following - has been the club's shirt sponsor since July 2010.

The original deal was worth about 20 million pounds ($30 million) a season. Financial details of the extension were not released, but a person familiar with the matter said the terms were broadly similar, with potential top-ups if the club is successful. The deal will run until at least the end of the 2015/16 season.

I've read both 30 and 40 mill per year tbh.
Ayre has done a great job if its close to that.

So we get back into the Champions League and not only does general commercial income (hopefully) and prize/tv money increase, but sponsorship deals already in place will as well.
Good to know.

Some people reckon we negotiated an improved deal as we threatened to walk away over all the money laundering accusations thrown at SC, saying the deal is worth closer to £40million now, than £20m.

By all rights, we shouldn't really get an increase, given that our results haven't improved, but good news if we have managed it.

There's a word for those people

Will be interesting to see whose right then. If its true that this is also for the kits and that we've lined up another sponsor for the training gear a la DHL and Utd, then Ayre/Hogan have done a great job.

I can only assume this is some kind of piss take about ayres choice of shirt.

So much for all the shit about them abandoning us with the Suarez incidents never believe journos they write white to sell papers.
We more than any club know this.

It's traditional, formal Indonesian costume or summin like that. Batik it's called.

Seems bizarre to me. An English bank, announcing a deal with an English team, with three westerners talking about it.

If they were touring the us I doubt they'd be wearing baseball caps the wrong round & jeans down by their ankles.

Wasn't it touted one of the main reasons they chose us is because our appeal in the far east, as it's a hugely important market for SC? It's probably part of the reason why we're touring over there as well, so it makes sense they'd be very public over there, for any reason.
