Mane and Salah have to be more clinical, too. Spurs have Kane, who knows that he's paid to score goals. We've got four or five players who know they're there to attack, set up goals and be creative. But none of them have a sense of responsibility in terms of contributing the goals. Salah is trying to pass balls into the goal from the edge of the area. Mane is snatching at chances or going for the flashy finish. They're going for shots that you do when you're four up, not 0-0 or 0-1. When Coutinho looks the least profligate you know there's a big problem. Yes we have serious defensive problems but, given how many goal-scoring chances we create we should still be scoring about three or four or more every game. It's obscenely wasteful how we squander great chances.
