Disappointing. Nobody had a good half. The referees have also been shite.

Klopp needs to get our spark back. The intensity and passion has gone.

This.

I miss the hunger and passion of the last couple of seasons. Some are so far up their own arses it's unreal.

Who is Southampton playing..? A poor, poor half for us, Only got better the last seven minutes...
As usual the Ox goes missing 15-20 minutes into the game.

I believe half our problems stems from playing Henderson in the back four. We lose what he brings to the midfield. We need to either take off the Ox and bring on Rhys Willaims stick him at CB and move Henderson back into midfield Or take off the Ox and bring on Milner

Ox. has done nothing, absolutely zero. And that is the one and only change that needs to be made at this stage, for Shaq..

Yes you can. And what we need to do now - play faster and more aggressively, as well as imaginatively, will be wrecked by him, who will whistle at the slightest push. Unless we stand well back and pass the ball politely we'll end up with about eight bookings. He's been atrocious.

Seriously which booking do you think wasn't a yellow?

Robbo's corner was already over the goal line.

He stopped play earlier when Forster made a ridiculous dive and rolled around on the ground. Keepers who do that just have to be ignored as much as a player diving.

Yup, no foul but Firmino would have missed anyway.

Seriously, seeing as near identical fouls by Southampton players didn't even get a free kick, I'd say both - the ref has zero consistency, and it's damned hard for a team to fight back into a game when you know he's playing double points for our fouls. You just know whenever we try to nick the ball off them he's going to whistle. That's a HUGE influence on a game.

We need to take Thiago off not just because he's another foul away from being sent off but because he's been garbage so far. I'm sure he'll have many great games for us but his first half showing has been rubbish. Not that he's alone in that respect as chamberlain's been shite as well as the front three and trent too. Can't help thinking that playing Jota in that meaningless game is coming back to haunt us as not only is he an option from the start but it also means we have no viable attacking option from the bench.
Thiago has been one of our best players, but has had little support from Ox and the FBs. I would keep him on with Hendo behind him in CM to handle some of the CM dirty work.

I don't understand what Klopp is doing recently. West Brom and Newcastle were our opportunities to rotate and he played most of the starters in both, but against a far better team in Saints we're going with an experimental midfield and defense and predictably have no cohesion. Their pressing is troubling us and we can't consistently play out of the back, they are targeting Trent in particular and almost every pass he makes in our half is under severe pressure and often deflected by a closing-in Saints player. Big changes needed at half-time.

Bobby's drifting through it.Mo is all over the line, not giving TAA an option. Mane is off blob. Robbo is getting closed down as is TAA. The goal was a mess. Soton aren't giving us any space. Thiago still on.ref had a word with him..probably said "I'll send you off next tackle"..

The only reasonable explanation is the medical team are dictating his many minutes players can play and when. As you say it doesn't make sense otherwise.

Robbo missed all 3 of our front line with that cross. Then Mané doesn’t win a foul after being bundled over.

We broke forward well with the first move but the final ball was still wrong. Now with them defending further back mane is trying to skin 5 players. We need to play with more sense

That sounds like Blue Moon stuff. Robertson and Thiago's fouls were clear yellows. I don't remember comparably late challenges by Southampton
