South American players back for the weekend

Wow.
How much does a private jet traveling a large distance like this one typically cost?

The write up says it’s six figures. No idea myself. They are all clubbing in to pay apparently..
United will just be bringing Fred back maybe don’t have to club in as much 😀

Even if they do this, that sounds a bit tight in terms of time, doesn’t it?

They would be getting a flight early Friday morning U.K. time and getting back early evening. Our game is Saturday lunchtime.

Also, Liverpool, City and United are playing in totally different parts of the country on Saturday. Hopefully the plane will at least fly into London!

La Liga postponed Atletico's and Real's games this Saturday due to the South American players returning so late and the impact it has on the teams.
The Premier League though, couldnt be less bothered.

According to private jet charter company Air Charter Service, you can expect to pay between $1,300 and $3,000 per flying hour to charter a turboprop or smaller jet plane, which typically seats 4 to 6 passengers; between $4,000 and $8,000 per flying hour for a midsize jet, which typically accommodates up to 9 passengers

Not sure that postponing is the right thing to do though, is it? I mean, clubs surely know the risk when they sign players from from a long distance away like South America. And in theory they should all have a decent number of players from England.

If we had no South American players and we were playing a team with two or three good ones who then might miss the game then I doubt we would have been best pleased if the Premier League waded in and postponed it.

It’s not because we would only be pushing that can down the road. We’d have to play the fixture at some point. We don’t want to be in a position where we have an unnecessary 3 games in 6 days scenario.

This isn’t news. We normally club together with the scum and shitty to bring players back quickly.

yeh we’ve heard before about jetting players back for sure ..
was glad to hear they on their way, all be it a bit late for Watford, Kelleher has done good in goal for us previous so we got that ..am looking forward to the game, and feel positive 🙂

Clubs know the risk when they sign South American players and that they can arrive late back from international duty.
But, during this break they had scheduled 3 games, and the last one 33 hours before kick off in the Premier League.
Thats unheard of and not the clubs responsibility nor should they pay for this by not being able to select these players.

Once the shitshow of a international fixture list in October was released, the teams with these players should have had their games moved to Sunday or a 1945 kick off Saturday. I'm not taking about postponing the game, but moving it that same weekend to accommodate the clubs involved

Other leagues are much more positive to move games before CL matches as well. We see this in Italy, Spain and Germany, that the teams involved in Europe can get matches moved if they have Tuesday kick off in the CL.

The Premier League wont do this, and couldnt care less.
