Aquilani won't start obviously. I susepct Insua will come back in for Aurelio. Not really sure if Riera deserves another game after that effort Last night, but he'll probably get the benefit of the doubt. Can't see him risking Torres, stick him on the bench. And then don't use him.

Degen and Babel to come in on the wings if our chronic lack of pace becomes an issue and Torres to come in for N'gog if and when he looks completely out of his depth. I also wouldn't object to Dani getting another look in either but I wouldn't expect that to happen.

As for our team, I'm pretty sure Riera won't play, given the way Rafa's treated him lately plus his performance last night (I didn't see the game, but I've gathered he was shit). Is Yossi fit yet? If so, I'd start with him. If not, it'll be Maxi or Babel on the left.

Rafa's team (not mine):

Reina

Carra - Skrtel - Agger - Insua

Lucas - Mascherano

Kuyt - Gerrard - Maxi

Wash


That team is horribly narrow, but I think it's how we'll play. And I think it'll finish as a draw.
 
Can I just add that I thought we looked very composed at the back last night. I know it wasn't exactly Barcelona we were playing but still, Skrtel and Agger should take a lot from it in terms of confidence at least. Probably their first cleansheet together.

Didn't these Romanians btw draw at the Bridge last year? Or was it at home?

Anyways I can see us win at Citeh. We were slightly unlucky not to get soemthing from Emirates and I reckon we'll make amends come the weekend.

Gerrard will score. Babel could too.
