As being not capped enough (27 caps) but what other players have there been that should have been capped a lot more than they were?
I notice Steve Heighway only has 34 caps for Ireland and Alan Hansen only had 26 caps for Scotland as we know.
For others I think Steve Bruce was uncapped for England.

The difference is that France had a good enough squad to drop him(they won the WC after it), where as England didn't.

Steve Heighway never bothered to turn up for Ireland most of the time hence his lack of caps

Dropped from the final squad for two World Cups. Initially he stayed out in Mexico in '70 to help the squad prepare. I think Steve Nicol only had a few caps for Scotland too.

It's amazing that as the best team in England, with a lot of Englishmen, so many of our players got overlooked.
