Rafa, you got sacked! Shut up please! Roy, you will get the sack soon! Shut up please!

!!!!!

Not really, I think he uses those terms because they're more subtle.

If he said these things outright people would think he was mental.

HOORAY

The number of commentators who actually do call him "Cliche" [don't know how to do the accent thingy] during games would be funny if it wasn't tragic.

Hodgson offered an olive branch to Benitez, who has continued to criticise elements at the club despite leaving for Inter Milan in the summer.

"I totally agree with him that every manager needs to work with his own club," said the Liverpool boss.

"If I have upset him by saying something which I certainly didn’t mean to be in any way critical or negative about his work at the club, then I would happily apologise because there was never any intention to do that.

"As far as I am concerned I work at Liverpool and do my best for Liverpool, and he will work at Inter and do his best for Inter.

"I have no comments to make about other people’s opinions - I’ll allow them to make them and in this case I’ll accept them if that’s what they want to be."

Of course it doesnt make sense, he's trying to sound contrite but at the same time save face.

To do that you'd have to justify your actions and if he did that, it's likely Rafa would respond.

Knuckles rapped by Henry perhaps?

If so, I hope it doesn't stop there.

It's certainly possible. And with the appointment of Commoli, and the impending two week deadline for sacking Hodgson without a payoff, I'm a little more confident about the possibility of Hodgson being sacked before January.

I think it's with a reduced payoff rather than without one altogether, but even so the difference will be in the millions and more than worth saving.

I thought Roy Hodgson was supposed to be 'media friendly', he seems to put his foot in it on a daily basis.

He reminds me of:

07-minister.jpg

He came across well at Fulham, and indeed with us to begin with, but in neither case did he have to face nearly so much pressure as that which has piled up on him as the season's gone on. That's what has really unmasked the guy.

I said earlier that Roy should be reigned in as his comment were wholly inappropriate and unprofessional.

I sincerely hope that the apology signals a return to the dignified Liverpool Way!

Fair play to Roy.

Hopefully they'll both keep their gobs shut in future.
