Andrew Ayew - Swansea
Jordan Ayew - Aston Villa
Payet - West Ham
Ogbonna - West Ham
Affellay - Stoke
Cabaye - Crystal Palace
Wijnaldum - Newcastle
Jermaine Lens - Sunderland
Holebas - Watford
Behrami - Watford

Some real quality on some not so great teams.

Money talks.

Im not sure any of those bar Cabaye are 'real quality'

Some promising talents and some like payet who get to their late twenties with very few knowing who they even are

Shaqiri - Bayern - inter - Stoke city .

Lol , I mean I'm not saying he'll be a disaster but there's got to be a reason for that interesting career path hes taking

Cabaye is a good player, but I'm not sure any of the others stick out. Shaqiri maybe, but he seems to have been bombed out of Italy and no big clubs are interested in him.

I think its more a case of the clubs they've left to join mid table PL clubs, and some of the fees/wages that are being handed out.
Insane amounts of money in the PL these days.

I haven't seem many of them other than Payet, but if they are of quality then its not necessary new although I suppose the increase in TV money has raised clubs ambitions.

Spurs had Klinsman for years.
West Ham Di Canio, Mascherano, Tevez
Southampton Le Tiss

Will be interesting to see if they end up at the higher clubs. You can only assume they've listened to their agent and are hoping for a move in 2 years time.

Newcastle have made a couple of quality signings aswell, given they only finished four points above relegation last season.

Wonder if Rondon joining West Brom is the precursor to Berahino leaving, maybe to Spurs, who desperately need strikers? West Brom have 5 strikers with this addition (Rondon, Ideye, Lambert, Berahino, Anichebe), and they don't really need so many.

Or Man City hoovering up the homegrown. Defo Berahino seems to be a goner now to one of those two. At a long shot, him going to Spurs could even see the scum go for Kane maybe? They're desperately short upfront

Kane would only leave for a guaranteed starting spot as centre forward - and at United that's Rooney's position this season.

So I cannot see that move happening at this point.

They'll need to find someone who is happy with a bench/rotation role, basically 2nd fiddle to Rooney.

Unless United play 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 - which under van gaal I cannot see them doing.

Players like Di Maria and Falcao were not guaranteed a starting place so I'm sure Kane wouldn't be expecting one either. He would maybe thinking he would be a long term replacement for Rooney.

If United are going to pay Spurs 50m and Kane 200k+ a week (both suppositions) then I doubt either would be complaining and Kane would be happy knowing he's still going to get maybe 40+ matches (25-30 starts) between the PL,FAC,LC and CL.

Kane might end up with the Mancs one day, but I don't think it'll be this season. If Spurs already had a couple more strikers, that could well happen, but not when they're already desperately short of them. Taking one in and losing one, then scrambling for two more in a window with a short list of quality strikers seems crazy. Well, unless they've already secured those guys in a super sleek hushed up move, but I don't see it... Cue Lacazette going to London next week then. 😉

Ogbonna had a solid debut vs Arsenal. He looked potentially the type of defender City thought they were getting when they shelled out 42m for Mangala.

Its funny how all these players we all signing FIFA ended up in the Premier League at the same time.

New TV deal + great exchange rate= an opportunity for mid level teams to capitalise.

Andre and Jordan Ayew are both two of the better and more important players on a very good Ghana national team that just finished runners-up in the African Cup of Nations. Both had quite a few appearances in the Champions League for Marseille.

Payet was a regular for Lille and Marseille the past four seasons and has close to double digit Champions League appearances.

Ogbonna had 41 appearances for league champion Juventus the last two seasons and was on the bench for Juventus in the CL final.

Cabaye is class, has started to feature regularly for France.

Wijnaldum has 19 Netherlands caps and played in every match in Brazil last summer when the Dutch finished 3rd.

Jermain Lens has 29 Netherlands caps and will be fighting to feature more in the squad with Van Persie and Sneijder's international careers winding down.

Holebas is a quality fullback IMO with 27 Greek caps.

Behrami has played for loads of quality clubs and has 59 Swiss caps.

Some truly good players.

We have different ideas on what good looks like I think mate.

Nout wrong with that like but I stand by my original comment .

Also look at the clubs these players are still playing for , its hardly like they're all spring chickens waiting for their next big move..
