Wow. Just what they need to steady the ship, I don't think. Civil war with Van Gaal and Keane on one side, Ferguson on the other - heck, *I'd* buy a ticket for that.

Van Gaal is a crazy motherfucker.... When I lived in Spain he coached Barcelona. real weirdo. Lost a number of games and allways brought his assistance to interprete (even though he spoke spanish) so the assistant had to "answer" the tough questions. Once they were 3-0 downwith 10-12 minutes to go, and he prepared a sub. I think he spent two minutes drawing and explaining to the sub what he was supposed to do.... If he was so good he could turn that game around based on Van Gaals masterplan B I assume he should have started him!!! I am confident he will be as popular as Big Ron.

I can't see Mourniho going there, abramovic would probably make him have an accident in a paris tunnel if that happened.
For them to get Ancelotti, which could happen I guess as Madrid are nutters, then Madrid would have to have a class 'A' replacement lined up themselves. Say Madrid got Simeone from Athletico then maybe he'd go.

They can't be that childish in Madrid? Surely.... Its like that monster fat kid that see someone else have a nice toy, and he bully them till he gets to play with it himself... then he discover he ain't fit to use that toy anyway.

I think it'll be Blanc.

The German feels that the Napoli coach would be a "good match" for the Red Devils and says that the Spaniard would love to return to management in the Premier League

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann argues that Manchester United should consider replacing David Moyes with Rafa Benitez.

The Scot left Old Trafford on Tuesday after just 10 months in charge of the Red Devils, with the club set for their lowest Premier League finish since 1989-90.

Benitez has previous Premier League experience, most recently with Chelsea, but also spent six years at United’s bitter rivals, Liverpool, winning the Champions League with the Reds.

Goal understands that United's owners, the Glazer family, are due at Carrington on Friday to discuss Moyes's successor and Hamann feels that the Spaniard should be part of their talks.

"It is certainly a name they should consider," he told talkSPORT. "They need somebody with a track record who can work with the big players, who knows what is required to get in the Champions League and play a big role in it for years to come.

"Rafa Benitez is in Italy at Napoli but his family still lives in the North West and he has always made it clear that he would love to return to the Premier League at some stage."

Benitez famously clashed with then-United manager Sir Alex Ferguson during his time at Anfield but Hamann believes that he would do well at Old Trafford.

"The way it is going at Liverpool, I don't think he will be there any time soon and he has been at Chelsea so there are not too many clubs out there for him," the former Reds midfielder added.

"I don't think Arsenal will suit him. He and Manchester United would be a very good match. He had a few run-ins with Ferguson but he only pointed out a few facts, as he would say."

He went to Chelsea ... I can't see him saying no to Manure if they give him an offer. I cannot see Ferguson accepting that though.

If they consult Ferguson (and after last time, they fucking shouldn't, but I hope they do!) he would never allow Benitez to be appointed.

I am not 100% convinced that Benitez would take the job anyway really. I know he went to Chelsea but I just think he might draw the line at United.

I cycle past both Rafa and Ince's houses all the time. I'll see if I can get some quotes through the intercoms on the gates.

I doubt he will. It's a challenge he'll relish, and I think that will be his first consideration. Also a chance for him to bring his family back to England, where apparently his kids like to be.

It's just like him to pick a boiling cauldron to jump into. Going to Inter after Mourinho's treble there, and then Chelsea after having sniped at their fans a while back. All depends on how things are going for him at Napoli though. He hasn't won anything there yet, and if he hasn't fallen out with the owners there, might still want to continue the challenge of winning something first. And then, there's the bit about how much Ferguson's personal dislike of him will influence the selection.

Montse and the girls have stayed on Merseyside though, haven't they?

I don't think he'd take that job. For one thing I don't agree that the challenge of it *would* be his first consideration - despite the fact that he's clearly not getting the Liverpool job again under FSG, he'd know that taking the ManUre gig would make darn sure he would never stand a chance of coming back to us, and I strongly suspect he'd still like to do so some day. Partly for that reason, partly because of his family and partly, I suspect, because of his own regard for the LFC fan base, my bet is he'd want to avoid alienating those fans.
