However I've got my optimistic hat on today. Not many other clubs will have £30M-40M of cash to spend, which will mean no bidding wars. We'll have the 'take it or leave it' card up our sleeve.

According to the papers, we're about to get 30 for Xabi. And Aquilani is the man we've lined up replacing him, for 17. The rest of the money will be used to fund David Silva.
The Arse are after De Rossi, for around 30. So I guess its a question about signing 1 or 2 players with the Xabi money.
