We have no manager, no DOF, no champions league football and we have some players who are in the prime of their careers capable of playing at the highest level.
Any DOF from top clubs wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't looking at some of our players and trying to tempt them to move.
And the players wouldn't be human if they weren't tempted
I hope Adam and Downing are tempted to move.

We either allow players to leave or we dont.
Allow ourselves to be a selling club (or continue being one) or we refuse to allow players to decide when they go.
If you sign a five year contract you are free at the end of the contract, so come back to us in 2 or 3 years lads.
Nice of you all to drop by though.

We need to go major fucking Zammo on their arses.

FF5 and Count, all that you have pointed out could well be true but all we have is the internet propoganda to go on. There are no facts stated other than us not yet having a DoF and Manager is place. This is a short-term problem which will soon be solved.

Henry and Werner may not be football men per say but their business instincts to protect their asset will be paramount. On the strength of that I will back them to install a hierarchy to build a legacy.

The forum is extremely negative these days. I know we're hurting because Kenny had to go. But not one of the 3 players mentioned are on the brink of leaving, yet. We havent even gotten a new manager in.

We dont have to sell. I doubt they desperatly want to leave, but like every fan out there they want to know were we are headed. Cant we just let the club hire a manager. See what happens with our playera and then start the doom mongering.

Fuck, we might even get pleasently surprised.

I think all three will stay but I think another season out of the champions league and at least one of them is going to leave.

League JUVENTUS - The leadership of Juventus will have to do an important job in the summer. Last summer, Marotta and his associates have done a great job culminated by winning the Scudetto and Italian Cup final then lost against Napoli. But now we must make the leap because they face Juventus in the Champions League and will purchase a certain level. The Juventus Football has already set its sights on some players to strengthen every department. In this article we will focus in particular on defense, another department that Marotta will strengthen in the next season. The Bianconeri want to give Earl another central defender, this year the Bianconeri have obtained the prize for best defense in the league but the labors of the Champions League could be heard. Juventus has set its sights on Slovakia defender Skrtel, Liverpool player, class 84 ', which also likes to Fiorentina. The player would choose the course because they could play Juventus in the Champions League next season. Skrtel has a contract with the Reds until 2014, but Liverpool after the third consecutive season without Champions League has decided to lower the costs for this would leave many major players. Slovak is a physically strong player who has a market value of about 10 million euros. Juventus could put Elijah in the negotiations but will have to understand the intentions of the Slovak player. Skrtel could remain at Anfield next season if the coach Rafa Benitez will be. These days there is much talk of a possible return to Liverpool's Spanish manager, Skrtel happy to remain with the coach who launched him in Liverpool. Negotiations to bring Benitez is well under way even if there are other names in the game. Juventus look well in Italy for the purchase of a defender in sight of Cagliari's Davide Astori, center-back Class 87 'posted by Prandelli in the 32 pre-squad for the European championship. This year's season Astori was important, Cagliari evaluates it already 10 million. Juventus followed him for some time but must register the strong interest of Rome to the player.

This is probably from the Italian version of the Daily Sport but I thought I would post it anyhow.
Probably shows that Skrtels brilliant form this season hasn't gone un noticed in many places.
But Juve can do one with their €10m valuation

They have a lot of insider information. Skrtel must be the cheapeast world class defender on the planet.

Paper talk to fill space, and lazy paper talk at that. I very much doubt that talks to bring Rafa back are "well under way" or anywhere near it, and Skrtel's value would be a sight more than £10 mill, let alone 10 mill.euros.

Agger, Suarez and Skrtel are worth over £80M to this football club and deserve to be playing Champions League football year in, year out.

Keeping them is essential if we have any real ambition of stopping the slide down into mid-table mediocrity.

this is our fate. whenever any of our underachievers have a good season and finally look like it was worth persisting, they'll be robbed by a bigger team.

Hope Skrtel stays. Had an excellent season and has developed greatly as a player.

Sounded more like he wanted a new contract a couple of weeks ago, so lets hope its that.

From another site; Agger and Skrtel wont even discuss new contracts until a new manager is in place.

Well, its not strange that you want to see who the manager is before deciding what to do.

They both witnessed the appointment of the Hodgepodge.

That's the the reason other sources have given for their delay ... That's all I'm saying. I hope it's wrong, but I'm not optimistic overall currently (that may change)

It would be foolish to blindly sign new contracts without a new manager in place. They're right to wait until a new manager is appointed. That's a prudent and logical move on their part.
