It depends who is buying, or it should. If Man City (for the sake of argument) wanted Skrtel, well we'd need to take into account that they paid £24 million for Lescott.

We have no manager, no DOF, no champions league football and we have some players who are in the prime of their careers capable of playing at the highest level.
Any DOF from top clubs wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't looking at some of our players and trying to tempt them to move.
