I was thinking this the other day, how long it would be before a Chinese company buys into a premier league club.

I see the negotiations as a stall tactic until the new General Manager is hired, who can than reevaluate the players. In the Echo article, it even says that the Suarez negotiations are intended to keep PSG from sniffing around:

I agree, but I think whoever is going to fill that new General Manager role is going to want to walk into the role feeling like they're making the player decisions. Even if they're just to rubber stamp the Agger, Skrtel and Suarez contracts.
